It's the WORSE hotel I've never been! Dirty, old, smelly (see the photos!!) the staff... Well, the staff is EXTREMELY unpolite! And the price is a bad joke: 250-400€ per night!! I was on a bussines trip... Never more please!

The Hotel is fantastically located, right adjacent to the palace of the French president. The hotel probably was great when Giscard was elected President back in 1974, but has never seen refurbishment ever since. However, they are doing some kind of work in the building which is undeniable by the amount of dust that settled not only on the hotel... More

The low rating on TripAdvisor is not surprising but you could do worse. It's the sort of place people who are used to the Waldorf would go to and then tell their friends at the club they had “an adventure”. Regardless, you do need to set expectations. The star rating system is about as accurate as a drunken archer so... More

The tiny room with a view of Rue St. Honore is more than made up for by the central location. High end boutiques and art galleries. Steps away from Place de la Concorde and the Tuileries Gardens this is a good place to be if you like walking around Paris. Breakfast is included - not just croissants and jam and... More

Location is good. But the hotel is not too clean. The staffs in the reception were not too helpful. They did not inform us taxi and train on strike and they refused to do anything to help arranging transport. When I asked them to call up a taxi for confirmation, the staff simply dialed the number and passed the phone... More

Hotel is situated close to Place de la Concorde, Place de la Madeleine, subway station and for those who are keen on designer clothes shopping - it is surrounded by designer shops like Prada, Valentino etc. Place de la Madeleine is iconic place with fine food stores and good places to eat (Fauchon, Cafe London Paris). If you want to... More

Like anything in this area of Paris, this hotel was much too expensive for the value it offered. The rooms were very old, with vintage furniture, to say it nicely. For a hotel in the center of Paris, the room was quite big. The room was not dirty and the bed was quite confortable, but it is hard to make... More

The hotel is certainly unworthy of its 4-stars ranking. We got "upgraded" to the top floor with a balcony a wonderful view of Paris but the room itself was far from being beyond a 2-stars hotel. The room was comfortable but somewhat crumbling and the washroom had a constant smell of sewerage. Breakfast is very basic. Staff was friendly and... More

Hotel Castiglione is fantastic value for a 4 star hotel in the Rue du Faubourg St Honore, one of the smartest roads in central Paris. Whilst not a top 4 star hotel, it has much larger rooms than similarly priced hotels, comfortable beds and light efficient desks for working. My favourite hotel in Paris for business trips. Some of the... More
