The hotel is certainly unworthy of its 4-stars ranking. We got "upgraded" to the top floor with a balcony a wonderful view of Paris but the room itself was far from being beyond a 2-stars hotel. The room was comfortable but somewhat crumbling and the washroom had a constant smell of sewerage. Breakfast is very basic. Staff was friendly and... More

Hotel Castiglione is fantastic value for a 4 star hotel in the Rue du Faubourg St Honore, one of the smartest roads in central Paris. Whilst not a top 4 star hotel, it has much larger rooms than similarly priced hotels, comfortable beds and light efficient desks for working. My favourite hotel in Paris for business trips. Some of the... More

I got the deal through Priceline which had it as a 4 star for $200.00 a night. It is a 2 star at best, we slept in our clothes as the room was dirty all over and it smelled like mold. I was upset that Priceline found it to be a 4 star when there was no reception to speak... More

The hotel has a fantastic location. That is the only thing that really makes it worth it. It has a sort of shabby feeling. Not very clean. The sheets, furniture and tapestry should be changed, It feels humid and smelly. The staff is OK. Nothing out of the extraordinary. Polite but not O.T.T. The onlhy thing really, really worth is... In September 2006 we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in this hotel, my first trip to Europe. I remember it fondly, the Art Deco light fittings in the room (a basic but comfortable room), the breakfast room with its red velvet curtains and more Deco furniture and lots of mirrors, the very cheerful elderly porter. It seems hard to believe... More

We arrived at around 3 pm and parked outside, a porter came outside and took one of our bags and told us the parking was 5 minutes away. We found the parking no trouble, but on the way back to the hotel we got lost. It was my first trip to Paris so I had no idea where I was... More

I stayed here for one night whilst on a business trip to Paris. Firstly the positives, the location is great! Just off the Place de Concorde behind the US Embassy, it is ideally located for top end shopping - that's it! Negatives: It is probably the most poorly maintained hotel I have ever stayed in and I could not believe... More

Our worst stay in Paris for the last 20 years. We stayed 3 nights. the concierge was not capable of organising a car transfer to paris suburb. Rooms are in need of massive refurbishement shame because the sizes are decent fro Paris. Sadest breakfast experience for a long time. No room service available for a four star hotel. Staff are... I reserved this hotel through the Tourist Office at the Train station. When I arrived at the hotel, the woman at the Reception was very rude, and made it sound like she was doing me a tremendous favor considering that I had not made a reservation in advance. This is an awful hotel! I have never been in a worse... More

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, and am usually quite flexible. However, I wish I could say something positive about this hotel. The rooms smell moisture, the carpet in the hallway is dirty. Garbage bags in the hallway, trolley with towels in hallway, very thin walls, extremely noisy road (i had room on street side). Location... More
