We stayed here for 3 nights in February and it's a great value for money. The rooms are small, yes, but they are completely renovated, clean and comfortable. The staff are all nice and eager to help. The breakfast is basic, but good. The metro station, Place D'Italie is 1 minute from the hotel. I would come here again gladly.

Stayed there five nights, overall ok. Staff speak French and English. No basic toiletries like shampoo, shower cream and tooth brush in the room. These items are supplied on demand, I only knew it upon checkout. Anyway, I brought my own toothbrush and bought other necessaries from nearby supermarket. Breakfast has limited variety, mainly cold food. Place d'italie metro just... More

The hotel underwent complete renovation, lobby and rooms. Wifi is reliable and FAST. The rooms have a modern twist. They are small, but the nice decor makes it OK. The first four numbers X01-X04 are on the main street. The others are facing a kind of courtyard and are quieter. Breakfast is OK, just the usual continental one. Staff is... More

Well located in the centre of Paris. Good eating joints nearby. Shopping arcades and area all close by.The rooms are comfortable. The staff is eager to provide tips of tourist attraction. The breakfast served is rather late if one has early departure

I have been there last year due to a duty-travel and I have to say that I have never been in such a bad hotel during buisness travels. The receptionist was unfriendly already during check-in procedure because we did not speak French. Inside the room you could hear everything from other rooms or corridor, specially the noise from opening and... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights in the Alliance Hotel Paris Place d'Italie…. The hotel was under renovation and corridors were not finalized. However, the newly renovated room was a pleasant surprise. We loved it. It is a good location, very close to the subway. There are plenty of nearby cafes and a boulangerie. Eliete at the... More

This hotel is currently under renovations. This meant that the flooring in the corridors were basic concrete but the rooms "new". Only things missing were a small fridge and kettle. Wireless internet was great. Close to the rail line and can walk to most attractions in Paris if you have reasonable fitness.

Loved the closeness to the metro and the breakfast was perfect. The rooms are small, but it's Paris -- they are all small. Staff was great, and there are a few local restaurants -- locals go there -- that we REALLY enjoyed.

We booked this hotel under it's other name of Holiday Inn express. Great price and although it is a long distance from the centre it offers great walks both to and from the river seine, Eiffel Tower and other points of interest. It has got lovely rooms and serves up a great continental breakfast. Plenty to choose from! Very close... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
