Booked three nights here in August, my original booking had to be changed from June until then due to the passport crisis in the UK- the hotel were very accommodating with my last minute plea for this...most would have made me pay again i'm sure. The hotel room itself is small yet compact- I think I paid around £50 a... More

The Oberkampf area and nearby streets were filled with cool bars and places to drink or eat. It wasn't hard to find a busy restaurant or bar, and the streets always had a nice vibe. It seemed like a pretty studenty area, with more locals than tourists which is a positive in my view. Although I've read some reviews that... More

Positives: - price: comparing with other hotels in the area, the price while booking with Expedia was not bad - service: rooms were cleaned everyday, everyday fresh towels, hygienic supplies... - hotel staff: all receptionists we met were really kind and professional, helped us with most of our inquiries (to change a room, to get directions and maps, to use... This hotel is not for those with mobility problems;there six storeys accessed by a steep stair case and because of limited staffing help with luggage is difficult to obtain. Our room was sparse but clean and the bed comfortable. However, there was an almost permanent leak through the bathroom tiles which the staff seemed reluctant to acknowledge. On other matters the... I stayed here with my partner last week for 4 nights around Valentines. We had left it quite late to book a hotel and so our choices were pretty limited. After reading a few tripadvisor reviews, I gathered here would be okay for what we were after, and we paid a very fair price (I think it worked out around... More

We visited Paris for a weekend and stayed at this little hotel. It's stylish and modern, the lobby is cool the rooms are decent. Cleanliness isn't fantastic and it's all quite 'okay'. Location is good; we saw a concert just up the road and it's a lively area. The staff were very friendly and we had fresh towels each day.... More

I stayed here for four days on a birthday/holiday trip to Paris. At first step out of the metro station I was a little discouraged, the area is dirty, run down and not at all that beautiful romantic Paris I was so excited to see again. BUT what I did notice was the almost endless selection of bars, cafés, restaurants,... More

The best thing about the hotel is the area, it's Oberkampf / Belleville which is really vibrant. Loads of cafes and bars, cool little shops and art studios. It isn't most people's idea of "traditional" Paris but that's why my boyfriend and I liked it, plus this meant hardly any tourists around. Parc Belleville has tremendous views and well worth... More
