Positive : - very friendly staff, they are a big part of the positive experience - great location, next to metro and Rer, but still very quiet, even the rooms that are on the side of the street - very good breakfast, though a bit pricy (but normal hotel price) - very romantic and old fashioned room decoration (great) -... It was an affordable place to stay, conveniently located near the subway station. The room was a bit cramped and a little too frilly for my taste. It was fairly hot and humid while I was there, but opening the windows at night took care of that, so I didn't miss the AC at all. The washroom is small, but... More

I've spent 2 nights in this hotel and yes it's not to bad altought no air conditioning in a super hot night and no parking for the car as mentioned in the services offered by the hotel. The rest is more or less ok if you do not need to have a shower more than once a day (soap is... More

I stayed here last week for three days. Very close to Nation metro line, Casino food market and various bakeries and an Irish pub within a few steps of front door..but hotel is quiet. Three floors, no elevator. Double room with bathroom was decent size, not too cramped. Nice courtyard view. They offer hairdryers, but as of my trip no... More

Had an amazing week here with my kinds and wife. Absolutely nice experience in Novel hotel really beautiful and well decorated place. When we enter the hotel we were warmly welcomed. Staffs are really nice and service is quite fast. We booked two rooms in the second floor which had nice garden view. My two son liked the view very... More

The staff at the hotel were fantastic, making us feel very comfortable and offering plenty of help and advice to make our trip enjoyable. We had two adjoining rooms for a family of four - small by American standards but far more charming. Being right next to the metro made all sightseeing easy and quick. Highly recommend if you are... Stayed there for 5 days. They were doing renovations while we were staying. Friendly staff, although they were different people on almost all the 5 days we stayed. Breakfast staff was very lovely! Reasonably clean rooms. Had a "deluxe" room first which was a dark (but large), damp and noisy room. Room 109, ground floor. Bathroom and bedroom had the... More

My teenage son and I stayed at Nouvel Hotel in early July. We loved the hotel. Although we are used to large American hotel rooms, we had two connected rooms with separate baths and it was perfect. The rooms were nicely decorated and we especially enjoyed the courtyard to eat or just relax. Although it was very hot when we... More

We had two adjoining rooms on the front. It was small but comfortable. The hotel is not air conditioned, so there was some noise from leaving the windows open. But the location is in a relatively quiet street, set back from the Place de la Nation. The courtyard is a nice oasis for having a breakfast, lunch or snack. There... More

Too thin walls, I could hear everything from room next to mine... Small rooms, by the way. It has some old romantic feeling, but price/value ratio is not very good. You can find better deals in the area. Breakfast is nice but with limited choice of food.

Staying in Bercy / Nation

Neighborhood Profile
Bercy / Nation
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighborhood where real Parisians make their homes.
