A nice little hotel near the northern railway stations and close to two metro stations offers a good chance to explore the city. Also a city bike (velib.fr) station is close by, which i always love when in Paris, as the bike gives u great mobility in the city centre. The hotel itself is clean and neat with a friendly... More

I spend a weekend in this hotel. The first impression was terrible - the reception looks like in the cheapest HOSTEL. I booked a standard room - i got a tiny, dark room - type "chambre de bonne". It was on the very last floor, i had to take the elevator and then walk stairs... On the way to the... More

I was staying in this hotel for two nights with my family. There are few things you need to know before going there: 1. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. I stayed at another 2-stars hotel near Gare du Nord, and this "4-star" was exactly like the one with 2 stars. The property is old and not well maintained. It... More

We were due to stay at Mademoiselle Hotel, but tour company booked us in for wrong night. Their staff found us a room for the night at this hotel. We couldn't have been made more welcome. Bedroom very chic, but also practical with such things as long handled shoehorn (great for slightly infirm older guests. Bathroom or to be more accurate... More

We ended up at this hotel as the one we had booked had a flood and were pleasantly surprised. It was hidden down a small street within walking distance of Montmatre and Gare Du Nord. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were of a good size with interesting décor. The beds were soft and it had the... More

We stayed for a quick two night trip and very extremely happy with what we got. The room was a good size and decorated very well and the bathroom was lovely with a large waterfall shower. All of the staff we spoke with were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very nice but if you are expecting to be stuffed... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a short city break. Relatively easily to get to if you are travelling from Charles De Gaulle airport if you get the train to Gare du Nord it is about a 10/15 minute walk. We thought that the hotel itself was very good, the staff were all very welcoming and helpful and the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
