When squeezing the max out of a short cultural visit to Paris, it is vital to have a comfortable and convenient base. Le Relais du Louvre fits the bill superbly. I've stayed alone and with my daughters, on both occasions the stay was memorably relaxing. To stroll at opening time to the pyramide is a rare luxury; the rue de... More

I booked two rooms at this hotel a classic double on the first floor for my daughter and a superior double on the ground floor overlooking inner courtyard for my wife and me. Both rooms were very well presented. My daughter room was on the small side which is often the case in Paris but our room was a good... More

This is a little gem of a hotel, in a fabulous location. The staff was very friendly & spoke excellent English. They helped us book our Normandy day trip, tickets to the Louvre, recommended a reasonably priced restaurant, and directions to the closest Apple store (we brought the wrong cord, whoops!). Our room was the perfect size for a family... More

A hotel to come back again. The location is excellent, and if you want to find a place to eat close by, the reception staff got excellent ideas Excellent service at the hotel If you want to visit the Louvre, get your tickets at the reception - also for the river Seine cruise.

My husband I really enjoyed our stay at this small boutique hotel. We stayed in a suite the first 3 nights, which provided us with an ample bedroom and very large bathroom, and small perks (bathrobe, slippers, coffee machine). We had to move into a standard room the last 2 nights, and although nice, I missed my suite with my... More

We had a wonderful time and felt very cared for by the hotel staff. A great base to explore Paris from. Breakfasts were scrumptious in the way that only the French can make them. We were a family of four and were all accommodated comfortably. Nice décor, furniture and attention to detail meant we felt valued and were therefore able... More

This is a hotel with a top location, i dont really Think people understand how wonderful this location is. Because of the kind of "inbetween" area this hotel is very good priced for what you get and lots of great things to see within Walking distance. My wife got really sick during this trip and the hotel acted Quick and... More

Spent 2 weekend nights here. Although we didn't get a room with a view of the church or the Louvre this was made up for by a lovely l-shaped room with a good sized ensuite. Location is fantastic, 5 mins from the Louvre, 20 from Notre Dames and 1/2 hour from Musee d'Orsay. The staff could not be more welcoming... More

Stayed 4 nights in Suite 62, a very comfortable room, including the bed. Faced an interior courtyard, but thus was very quiet, and had lots of light due to multiple windows in the large, renovated bathroom (windows opened). It was a great base for sightseeing attractions in that section of Paris such as the Louvre, the Tulieres gardens and the... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
