My boyfriend booked this hotel as a surprise for valentines day this year so i was a little sceptial as he booked it without seeing any reviews. We arrived and the check in desk staff were so helpful showing us where our rooms were. The room was lovely , plasma tv on the wall, comfy bed and a really nice... More

Small hotel right in the centre of Paris a few minutes walk from the Seine and Notre Dame. The hotel is in a quiet area surrounded by local shops and restaurants. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The hotel was very clean and is good value for money. I would recommend this hotel for those who like... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. We booked the hotel on the strength of the positive reviews from other travellers and are happy to now add our own endorsement. The room was a generous size (by Paris standards) and spotlessly clean, as was the modern bathroom. We would have preferred a... More

I booked directly on the hotel website, after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. They were not wrong. My husband and I stayed at the Agora for 6 nights. Just returned. The staff was pleasent and helpful, the room was, though small, quite ample for the 2 of us. The bathroom was great. Newly renovated. We booked a twin superior... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Agora Saint Germain for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel is in the latin quarter with plenty of fine restaurants, bistros and bakeries. The service is excellent and will surely stay there again the next time we visit Paris. I highly recomment this hotel.

We spent two nights at this hotel. Originally, we were supposed to stay 4 mights, but the hotel did not have our reservation in their system. The staff was excellent in terms of finding us a room in a nearby hotel. Then, one staff member walked us to the new hotel so we wouldn't get lost. OUTSTANDING SERVICE! The Agora... More

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of the Latin Quarter. It is very safe, quaint, clean and has very pleasant and most helpful staff! I did not book in advance but just happened to be walking by when I decided to take a look at the rooms which were lovely (but small as most are in... More

I wish I could remember her name now, but the wonderful lady on the front desk was by far the most helpful person I've ever met in a hotel. I had ordered a packet of travel documents delievered to the hotel in advance of my arrival, and instead of just handing the envelope over with my room key, she had... More

After some pretty ordinary experiences with Latin Quarter hotels, this was a delight. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were well equipped, clean and comfortable (with good air conditioning), and it is in a great location. After indifference at other hotels, they were attentive here - for example, one day I walked in with a bunch of... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
