We cannot praise this hotel enough. My partner booked a city break for my 50th birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Paris. It is the Latin quarter which is delightful in itself. The staff are so friendly, helpful and a joy to speak to. Jasmine and the gentleman we met on reception, sorry... More

The staff is very friendly and speaks English. The location is great with many restaurants and shops nearby, and a metro line 5 minutes walking distance. The bathroom design was not very intuitive, the toilet is so close to the wall you have to sit at an angle, and the shower is half-covered by a window-door that serves no apparent... More

Great hotel, the location is perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We traveled as a group of 4 adults, My mum, 2 sisters and myself. It was a surprise trip for my youngest sister's 16th birthday. We had booked two rooms. When we arrived one was on the 4th floor and the 2nd on the 6th. The lift is... More

The location is perfect. The staff is very pleasant, especially, Anna and Jasmine who went out of their way to help with directions and recommendations. The rooms are small as is expected-- but clean and all we needed.

Great experience. Stayed for 7 nights. Room is small - typical of Europe. Bathroom is very neat, room had a balcony, quitenssential of Paris. Location is perfect. 5 minutes from Notredame, Pantheon, Hop On Hop Off bus tours. Lots of cafes, bakeries, restaurants near by. However, the street is quiet. Church bells did ring often -didn't bother us at all.... More

The Agora Saint Germain is in a very accessible location - easy walking to many locations. The hotel has the charm of being a bit older but in great condition. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

The Hotel is in a great location it is literally within 5 Minutes walk from the Notre Dame & Love Lock Bridge. It is around 5 Minutes walk from the Pantheon from which there is a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. There are lovely restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The Staff are very nice and helpful, they recommended some... More

I had high hopes based on reviews on TripAdvisor, how disappointed was I! Pros are the location in the Latin Quarter in easy walking distance of great restaurants, buzzing cafes and shops. 10 minutes to Notre Dame and hop on/hop off buses. Also, the hotel staff were friendly and mostly helpful. Cons: we stayed in the triple room (101) on... More

Agora Saint Germain is close to everything in the Latin Quarter and walking distance to the Louvre. This means you are walking distance to various tourist attractions in the 9th district. Centrally located! What else would you desire? A large room in Paris? Its Paris, forget about it! An excellent staff? Yes, very helpful and very nice. Complimentary coffee while... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
