The reason to stay here is really location. We never had to get any transport the entire weekend- it is just round the corner from the Notre Dame and we just walked down the river from there. A slight word of warning- the rooms are very compact and the baths in particular are very small.

I booked this Hotel bc of the location and price. It was in an Excellent location. Minutes away from all the restaurants and cafes you need. It is 2 blocks from a metro stop. Would recommend this Hotel to younger and older couples. Or just friends on vacation.

Our six night stay at Hotel Agora Saint Germain could not have been better. The hotel's location was perfect for all of the areas of Paris we visited. The staff went out of their way to help us with any detail not matter how trivial. Our deluxe room with a street view was spotless and had plenty of room. We... More

Hi , I had a wonderful stay at this well situated hotel in Paris. After our initial shock of the size of the elevator " two people and two small carry on" and it was tight. The room was small but clean and a good sized bathroom, " bath tub was a bit high for short me and not good... More

Midrange hotels in Paris tend to be very small (and expensive), and this is true also for the Agora St Germain. There is nothing special to note, a double room where not much more than a double bed fits, narrow corridors and not enough soundproofing to shut out the noise of neighbors. But I knew this when booking, and really... More

Well-placed for central Paris and the main sights, especially on the Left Bank. Ten minutes from Notre Dame and RER and 5 from the nearest metro. We received a warm welcome from helpful receptionists who spoke very good English. Even though we were a couple of hours early, we were shown to our room. We chose a room on the... More

We have just completed our 3rd stay at this charming hotel and it is pleasing to say that the standard is still well above average. We were greeted by a friendly courteous receptionist and were given a room overlooking the street. The room was comfortable and the location of the hotel makes it an excellent base from which to wander... More

this is our second visit to this lovely little hotel and it didn't let us down. We arrived around 1ish...2 hours early, but with only a 10 minute wait, our room was ready. Room 508 is a superior room ( we upgraded from a comfort room last year) and we were lucky enough to get a balcony overlooking the street... More

This hotel is located in a superb location - nearby everything. We easily walked from both RER and Metro to the hotel and also attractions were all around. The staff was very helpful. We arrived so early in the morning and they helped with their best efford to provide us an early check-in as it was raining outside. Also they... More

This was our 7th stay at this hotel in as many years, so one can easily conclude that we like it. The location is good and relatively safe. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are very comfortable although a bit on the small side. Guests have access to free WiFi which is an important bonus for us. The staff,... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
