We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Agora Saint Germain. We stayed for 5 nights in November of 2014. The hotel is superbly located...literally one block from Notre Dame Cathedral, as well as two convenient metro stops. The room was nicely put together and very clean, but it was small, as is common with European rooms. We were not surprised... More

Nice hotel with a good location. Staff are very helpful and polite. We had never been to Paris before and managed to get tickets to the Paris saint germain vs Ajax but had no idea how to get to the stadium, reception staff helped us out with the metro and also printed out our tickets for us. I would definitely... More

We stayed here for a few nights at the end of our France vacation. The rooms are VERY small, but perfectly comfortable and the bathrooms are newly remodeled. The receptionist was super sweet and upon arrival gave us a map and pointed out all the good restaurants and attractions to see. The hotel also offers a breakfast for 13 Euros.... More

The Agora St Germain is perfectly located in the 5th Arrondissement - a short walk from Notre Dame and Metro/RER lines. We were greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat by the gentleman on the front desk and given our key promptly. The room was on the 4th floor, pretty small as per Paris standards, but clean and warm... More

Read all the reviews, not much more that I can stay. Will be back. Stayed there 4 days and was totally satisfied. If you are accustomed to the large chain hotels forget it, this is a great small French hotel, the rooms are small but very adequate of most needs, the bathroom was new and modern, no complaints. Go there... More

My husband and I, along with another couple have just spent three wonderful nights at Hotel Agora, a Classic 3* Parisian Hotel in a fantastic location, only 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame in the Latin Quartier. We had a Superior Room which was exceptionally clean, with a great view over looking a church. It was only 3 minutes walk... More

It is very nice to get to a Hotel where everyone is friendly and helpful. Hotel Agora is not a big luxury Hotel but a small very warm place to stay in Paris. The rooms are small but enough for a very comfortable stay. Very well located in a peaceful neighborhood with a lot of nice small restaurants within a... More

Well you should realise when you arrive and the front door is cracked and shattered that is an indication of the standard of hotel you have chosen to stay at. Cramped rooms, beds so small and uncomfortable, with bases damaged so you literally slide out of the bed. Our room was a mosquito haven and also attracted many other bugs.... More

Loved the neighborhood, with fruit stands, flower shop and great bakery shops. Close to Notre Dame and to bus stops to get into downtown Paris, or to catch underground trains. Small, and the tub/shower was not so good for showers, since the glass partition left most of the tub area open, and the rest of the room could get quite... More

Everything you've read about this hotel is true .. Wonderful location .. Clean rooms .. Air conditioning that works .. Comfortable beds .. Very nice breakfast .. But what sets this hotel apart are Ana and Yasmina on the front desk .. They will make your stay a trip to remember .. You need a supper reservation or suggestion ..... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
