This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel although we have stayed in Paris many times but have never returned to a hotel previously; however, we would certainly return to this one. We liked the decor, nearness to the metro: the staff, cleanliness, breakfast were all excellent. We did find our room was too hot but solved... More

If you love Ibis type hotels do not choose this one but if you would like to spend some nights in a charming place in a classical spot in Paris, this is a great choice. I suggest you book the Superior room (that we had) that is small but comfortable. The regular rooms may be too small. Service was mostly... More

Great location, a short walk from the Metro and in a really nice area. The hotel is very traditional and quite pretty, and although the bedrooms are compact, I've seen smaller. The bathrooms looked very contemporary, newly done, and the showers good and strong. Our only real gripe was the temperature of our room - incredibly hot and stuffy. After... More

Lovely hotel. Comfortable room good buffet style breakfast and a great location In The heart of Paris. Room was a bit cosy but not unusual I suspect for central Paris. Enjoyed our stay which was for our first wedding anniversary

To get straight to the point, this hotel was perfect in every way. My wife and I flew from Australia on our honeymoon , arriving at the hotel at aproximately 11pm on a cold december evening. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. The staff are professional and friendly, with a smile and a... More

My niece and I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in late September. On the last day I was hit by a van crossing an intersection, and needed emergency surgery for a broken femur. The manager Eric Desfaudais and his wonderful staff extended themselves far beyond any reasonable expectation to help my niece deal with taking care of many... More

The hotel is in a quiet neighbor hood but close walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and Luxembourg gardens. The breakfast option and lobby honor bar were nice options. The staff was very helpful and room was very clean and spacious for a small hotel.

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times since 2000 and love it. The location is excellent but even more the people who work here are incredible. The kindness and helpfulness they have shown us has been beyond description. This will be our first choice in Paris always.

The best thing about this hotel is its very convenient location 1/2 block from the St Germain Des Pres metro stop. Also a short walk to the Pont Nerf, St Chapelle, the Concierge, and further on the Lourve, and Tuileries. Also a plethora of restaurants, including the famous Les Deux Magot and Cafe de Flores, 1/2-1 block away. It's a... More

The location can't be beat in the heart of St Germain des Pres. Lovely, quirky antiques and period decor, but predictably tiny rooms. Mixed reviews on staff, from friendly and helpful to surly. Nice breakfast. Despite my giving it just a 3, I'd stay there again for the location.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
