This was our second stay here, and the second time was even better than the first! We asked for a quiet room and got it, and being on the second floor we did't need to negotiate the tiny elevator (not a big deal anyway). We stayed five nights. The staff were very friendly and happy to put up with either... More

The Grand Hotel Leveque proved to be the perfect home base for our quick stop in Paris. It's a little worn around the edges, but the neighborhood and proximity to the metro more than make up for it. While they couldn't accommodate an early check in, they were able to store our bags. A few quirky things to note. While... More

A wonderful value for staying in the Rue Cler "car-free" market neighborhood of Paris. We rented two room for three nights. The rooms included free wifi, bathrooms (showers not baths), and a/c. The rooms were clean and quiet and the neighborhood was delightful (a Rick Steve's favorite). There is an optional breakfast that you can chose to pay for any... More

My husband, two teenagers and I had a lovely three-night stay at the HGL. Even though we arrived from our red-eye flight much earlier than official check-in time, the staff readied our rooms so we could get into them right away. The rooms were, as already described in other comments, very small, but smartly decorated. The bathrooms were also tiny... More

This quaint hotel with it's incredible location made our Paris "dream vacation" come true. Rue Cler (the street it's located on) offers the French culture right at your doorstep. Shops of every kind, fresh food and flower markets line the street. Awesome variety of restaurants, walking distance to the Eiffel tower. The hotel is clean and comfortable with excellent staffing.... More

Stay in this hotel was marred by theft in the hotel. Personal belongings were stolen during my 9 day stay in the hotel. I had locked the room door before leaving, and returned at the end of the day to find out that the door was unlocked and left unclosed, after which I noticed that my personal belongings were stolen.... This was the second time for my stay. The staff were friendly, one of them even remembered I was repeat guest. Room is small but it is normal in Paris. It is comfortable and clean. Air-con is lovely in summer sometimes. Wifi is free and fast. Very near Eiffel Tour and Rue cler is great for dining. I enjoyed my... More

Exceptional location, friendly service. Rue Cler is a fantastic street to live on while you vacation in Paris. You walk out the door and have a myriad of quality restaurants from which to choose, you are in close proximity to the Metro, and the Eiffel Tower is a 15 minute walk. Perfect!

I love this hotel!!! This street pedestrian only, and it is filled with amazing cheese shops, food stands, and cafés. Grab a few bottles of wine and some snacks, then make the short walk to the Eiffel Tower for the best picnic spot anywhere in the world.

My husband and I stayed here late January/early February 2014. The hotel is small, with a small lobby/front desk area, a spiral staircase that goes up all 5 or 6 floors, and a very tiny elevator that will haul you upstairs in the center or the spiral staircase. We were given a room on the top floor, with a little... More
