The hotel overlooks a traffic free zone with shops displaying their wares in the open air, and many cafes. It is like a shoebox squeezed in and subsequently reception area is narrow and seatless, and the lift, as mentioned by others, is miniscule. My room overlooked the street and the bathroom was spotless. A hook or two in the bathroom... More

Pro: the location was nice, easy walk to Eiffel tower, and the street and area around were nice. Cons: the Eiffel tower isn't the only thing to see and do in Paris. The elevator was barely big enough for two people. My husband and I were traveling for two weeks and had large luggage, we were on fifth floor...we had... More

my husband and I stayed here with two other couples for two nights and paid 150 for the duration. The location is fantastic, on a road of lovely bars, restaurants, cafes, wine shops and patisseries, it really puts you into the heart of French life. The locational is phenomenal, a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and 20 minutes... More

My room for one person had two beds in it leaving absolutely no moving space let alone space for my suitcase. The shower door was broken, as was the safe in the room and the cupboard it was kept in. My courtyard view was just an empty concrete shaft. Worst hotel bed I've ever attempted to sleep on. And every... More

Stayed here for two nights in March. Pro's; Staff extremely helpful & friendly. Situated on a lovely road, full of bars, restuarants, cheese shops, bakeries, market stalls. Only a 10min walk to Eiffel Tower, which was perfect for us as we had dinner booked at Le Jules Verne at top of Eiffel Tower on second night (highly recommend it). Very... More

I booked this hotel based on previous reviews on tripadvisor, and was not disappointed. The hotel is located In Rue Cler which is a wonderful street full of little shops and cafes. The hotel is well placed and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Not sure about the title Grand, but was pleasant. Our room whilst not big was... More

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room was ok, although bed was a little too soft. Bathroom was tiny, about the size of a cupboard! Shower was great though :) Rue Cler is s great little location with shops, cafes and restaurants. Eiffel Tower is a short walk away 👍

It's a quite good hotel. Positive points: nice employees, quiet area (no big traffic in Rue Clerc) very well located, good bathroom, good room, quite reasonable price for center of Paris. Negative points: quickly noisy from neighbour room or from other showers, common decoration need a refurbishing.

Despite a good location (lively street but a bit noisy) and a friendly night manager, I would not recommend this hotel because my room was not comfortable. The bed was two narrow singles made up with sheets and blankets. Neither comfortable. There was nowhere comfortable to sit (just a strange plastic bucket seat and an ottoman) and there is no... If you want the feel of the real Paris this is it. 3 generations of our family were on this trip and we all loved the Grand Hotel. Rue Cler is the best, the food is wonderful. We enjoyed the open air shops, bakeries, restaurants and we were able to get to other locstions easily from the hotel. The breakfasts... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
