I recently traveled to France on Luxury river cruise with a friend. We decided to extend our stay in Paris and found the Grand Hotel Leveque. What a prize! It is a wonderful small hotel on the Left Bank in a great location. On a cobblestone street with lovely restaurants and assorted stores. The rooms are simple and the bathroom... More

We had a room over an interior "courtyard" really a five story light well. Better than being over the noisy, cigarette smoke filled street. Rooms aren't small, they are TINY two twin beds pushed together with hardly room for two small suite cases, but very clean and not old feeling. Noisy creaky hallways with rude guests coming in late. Having... More

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and has a lot of little cafes, stores, restaurants on the street and is situated between 2 subway/metro stations making it very convenient location. The shower is the best shower I have ever had in any hotel and they have free wifi. Cost wise it is somewhat in... More

This was the first place I stayed at in Paris and it gave me an enjoyable, 'first -time' experience of the city. Grand Hotel Leveque is located in the heart of Paris in a very convenient and accessible location. The hotel is in the 7th district of Paris and is within walking distance of the metro and bus stations with... More

The location is the number one selling point of this hotel. - plenty of restaurants, grocery store, metro, atm and shopping nearby. I thought the breakfast was decent for the price and great for starting a long day. The staff was very helpful. However, The rooms are very small esp the twin . You just had enough room to sleep.,... Location is terrific. Rick Steves always has the best recommendations. Very good restaurants available in a lovely neighborhood with cute shops. The tiny elevator that serves two persons or one person and a bag is such a quaint addition! Room was a decent size for Paris standards and very quiet. Metro is just a few blocks away. If you're looking... More

We went to this hotel on Rick Steve's recommendation and it was very cute! We had a room facing the street and it was cobblestone filled with all types of market shops. Great for people watching. There was a cheese shop, bread shop, pastry shop, wine shop, chicken rotisserie shop and a general store. Beware, though, if you have jet... More

This was my first visit to Paris and this hotel. Hotel overall is very clean and the staff is very helpful!! We arrived a little early but they were able to accommodate us to check in early to put our bags away in the room. The rooms were basic, but very comfortable. We had a street facing room which was... Have stayed here many times over the past 30 years. It's inexpensive compared to other hotels in Paris. The biggest draw is the street Rue de Cler. Cobblestone, it is a hub of activity for the locals. All the venders put there goods for sale on the avenue. The smells of cheese, flowers, fresh bakery goods, are there to enjoy... More

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
