I stayed at Lévêque in late May and mid-June 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in a renovated room for several days (5th floor, back-side) then the older rooms for the rest of our stay (3rd floor, street-side). The renovated rooms are nicely done and comfortable--they also have thicker towels; the as-yet un-renovated rooms are also quite comfortable. We... more

We stayed at this hotel last year on the recommendation of Rick Steves. We pretty much got what we expected, and were fine. The price is a deal, and the rooms are pretty bare, but adequate. The air conditioning worked well, and the beds were fairly comfortable, especially after hours of trekking all around the city! The bathroom was clean,... more

Stayed here due to Rick Steves recommending staying on Rue Cler. The street is indeed charming, and many great restaurants in the area. The room at the hotel was almost ridiculously small with the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. A half sink due to not enough room for a whole one, and a shower one could almost not turn around... more

The Grand Hotel Leveque is the perfect place to stay to see Paris. The restaurants all around are excellent and resonable. It is close to #69 bus route and two Metro stations. Eiffel tower only a ten minute walk at my 65 year old moms pace. Don't, however, expect a lot of room in the rooms. Or the elevator. If... more

We chose this small hotel because it was recommended by Rick Steves. Our room was small and bathroom equally small although the shower was quite large. It wasn't as clean as we had hoped. The toilet cistern leaked water all over the bathroom floor and they didn't repair it - only got the maid to put down towels to soak... more

My husband spend five night at the Leveque recently. We booked this hotel in early February and booked a triple room to have a little extra span. I emailed the hotel and then called them on the phone. TO have a street view, we had to take one of the rooms that had not been redone for one night. It... more

What a nice surprise! When I learned that my habitual hotel (Champ de Mars) was fully booked three months in advance, I took a chance on Grand Hotel Leveque which is situated just around the corner. The result: more comfortable bed, lower price (only 69 Euros a night), better reservation service... a new favorite! My room lacked private bath/WC, but... more

My husband, 21 year old daughter and I spent a night in Paris en route to Italy. We chose the Rue Claire area because Rick Steve's guide said this was a beautiful overlooked area, and had better room rates. I also chose this hotel because of Rick's guide. We stayed in an older part of the hotel, and it was... more

The rooms are very small and the bathrooms even smaller, but it was clean and quiet. We had a backside room on the 4th floor. The location is the best thing about this hotel situated in the heart of Rue Cler and just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower. It's also a very easy walk to the Louvre and... more
