This hotel is small but nice. The wifi is good and the bathrooms are nice. If you are looking for a hotel that would fit a small family or couple, this is perfect for you. There is a bit of city noise but it is not too noticeable. My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here in November 2011 for a girls' trip and we had the triple room. It was perfect. Free Wifi, perfect location in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Very clean. Amazing view. Just perfect all around. Such a friendly staff (with the except of one woman). Save your money on Moulin Rouge, it was a joke of a... More

…shabby …. the carpet was torn and smelled like old socks… and when we tried to leave… we had to pay …(they claim there is a 3 day cancellation policy)… still we left anyway… nuthin' romantic about this flop house

Sadly it isn't good. We found the room and carpet old and smelly and decided to leave after one night… naturally they strenuously insisted on full payment claiming a 3 day cancellation policy. Still it was bad enough that we chose to take the loss and walk.

This disgusting hotel would have made Henri de La Toulouse-Lautrec shudder in a Pernot-saturated entry to this filthy, broken-down room that smelled of putrid sewers and mould with a tattered carpeted floor leaning at dizzying angles towards the window. We had the grave mis-fortune to stay in this hotel in October 2014. I cannot vouch for any of the other... More

Despite the long climb up the stairs and the slightly cramped spaces, I really loved this hotel. My wife and I went and it felt like we were doing something much more natively French than touristy. The history of the hotel really grabbed me since I'm a history buff. We also really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. All in... More

We stayed for 4 nights in Sept 2014. It was inexpensive for central Paris (100 Euro/night) which included a small breakfast (coffee/tea/chocolate, a croissant and some baguette with butter and jam). The room was small and the bathroom minuscule, but the location was great - just off the Pont Neuf on Ile de la Cite. We walked everywhere. There's no... More

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was spacious for Paris. A mini suite. Clean and tidy. Furnishings ok if a bit old. But all fine. The stairs are a pain to climb and the lift very small. Continental breakfast was fine, nothing special, but served its purpose. All the staff very friendly. Great location.

I'd heard the people in Paris were rude, but everyone was great, with the exception of the people who ran this hotel. I would have blown off their rudeness (after all, the price and location were great) had it not been about our booking. After sending me a confirmaron abs takinga deposit for two triple rooms, my group arrived and... More

As other reviews are saying, the main draw of this hotel is its location. From here you are walking distance to many of Paris' main sights. It is very "no frills" though. The beds were a little hard, there is no wifi, and the stairs may be a little much if you have to get a suitcase to the higher... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
