A wonderful hotel on Isle St Louis, one block away from Notre Dame. Rooms vary in size, but very nicely decorated and fabulous beds. Perfectly located for walking the heart of Paris with several metro stations within a couple of blocks. Denis and his team, as always was were good hosts. Certainly a great hotel to take my tour group... More

This is our favorite hotel in Paris and it was a disappointment. We have stayed here three times and been very happy. This time I changed the requested room before arriving and they help by changing back to our original room. Then that room's A/C was not working. After THREE night of 80 deg nothing was done. The desk clerk... More

My partner and I stayed here for our first night in Paris, as a little treat. It was the perfect oasis after a long flight from Australia. Our room was ready for us prior to check-in, and although small it was spotlessly clean with beautiful rustic details. We both slept like logs in the super-comfy bed, the shower was large... More

On a previous trip to Paris we fell in love with L'isle de St. Louis and determined we would stay in the Isle for future trips. It was perfect -although rooms are small, the beds are comfortable, the shower was huge with great water pressure and breakfast was cheating in the basement . Denis and his crew were great at... A charming and personal hotel with very few rooms. Lovely breakfast lady who ran to the closest bakery to fetch us frech croissants as we arrived late to breakfast one day. Reception-staff was warm and friendly. The street is full of lovely restaurants. If you don't want to see the landmarks, the metro or the larger departmentstores, but just experience... More

Perfect location and staff that were more than helpful. Denis and his team couldn't do enough for us. From suggesting the best Seine boat trip and chocolate shop to organising our journeys from and to Gard de Nord via their shuttle bus service (the driver of which was lovely) nothing was too much trouble. Yes the rooms are small but... More

My family of four stayed in two rooms during our 5 night Paris trip. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and allowed to leave our bags. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and quiet. The management went out of their way to help us with anything that we required. On our last day I wanted to get sandwiches very early (8AM)... More

My wife and I spent two nights here in March, picking the hotel mostly for its location. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel because of the poor sound insulation in the rooms (you can hear conversations in neighbouring rooms and everyone coming in / out) and the uncomfortable bed / bedding. I'd have given it 2.5 stars if that... More

When we contacted the Hotel & found they were booked for the week of Christmas, we were thrilled to learn they had a studio apartment available just a few steps away from the hotel. We could spend the week in Paris in our own place & be just steps away from the hotel for breakfast each morning. Lovely renovated studio... More

This is a wonderful small hotel on the Ile Saint-Louis. My sister had stayed there before and when we planned a family trip we all booked rooms at this hotel. The rooms were fine--not huge but more than adequate. There was free wifi and extra pillows and blankets. The bathroom was small but the shower was large with plenty of... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
