We recently stayed for 3 nights in Hotel de Fleurie. The hotel is in very short walking distance of a Metro station (Odeon) and is located in the Saint Germaine area. Within walking distance there is plenty of nice small restaurants and bars. Also we could pretty much walk to most of the important sights directly from the hotel, Jardin... More

I can't fault this hotel in any shape or form. This was my first holiday away with my boyfriend, as we are 18, and it was perfect. It's location is the most appealing feature, we walked almost everywhere; the eiffel tower, notre dame, rue lafyette. I read reviews of it being noisy, but we had a room onto the street... More

My husband & I went through to Paris for a weekend to meet up with a friend. We arrived mid morning (11am) via train & went directly to the Hotel to ask if we could drop off our baggages before heading out - this was not only possible, but our room had just been cleaned & made available! The room... More

Six of us stayed in this hotel over the New Year period, having been unable to get into our preferred hotel were we have stayed many times alone or with friends / family over the years. We were not disappointed with Fleurie. It's a small hotel in a perfect spot for seeing the most interesting parts of Paris. The staff... More

What a find. Right in the Latin quarter of Paris. Lovely room - we had a double delux. Well decorated and I think the bathroom and seperate toilet had been recently redecorated. Lots of hot water, comfy bed - two singles pushed together. This hotel was right in the middle of the Latin quarter about a 3 minute walk from... More

This hotel is reasonably priced (for Paris) and is in a perfect location. The staff is very helpful, competent and professional and most of them have been there for many years. Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy so be sure you have ear plugs to filter out the noise. There is free wi-fi but we had to... More

Our first night in Paris was spent at this cute little hotel. Its in a great area in Paris in the St Germaine district, very safe and plenty of nice shops and cafes abound here. Very clean, comfortable beds, and pleasant staff that spoke English. Rooms are small but efficient and decorated with traditional french wallpapers and bedding, with striped... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
