I was in a room designed for a single person - and it was quiet small. Since I only intended to use the room to sleep in, this was fine - my friend, who had the same room on a different floor, thought it was too small. The view was an air shaft - but that meant it was very... More

So this is a typical European hotel room that is the size of a shoe box. My room is on the top floor but right across from the elevator. One can hear every time the elevator door opens/shuts, and every word that is said in the hallway. I already sleep with ear plugs but clearly not enough to drown out... More

The Hotel de Fleurie is a perfect pied a terre for those visiting Paris and intending to walk to major tourist sites. Just a half-block off the Boulevard Saint-Germain, between the Mabillon and Odeon metro stops, it is perfectly placed for walks to BoulMich, Orsay, the Louvre, Notre-Dame and so forth. While the hotel does not include its own restaurant,... More

We took the train in from england through the tunnel. Once to the train station in Paris, we just had to switch over to the subway and get off at the odeon station. The hotel is very close to the station which made it easy to get around Paris. You could also easily walk a couple blocks to the seine... More

Good location. Slow elevator. Good coffee. Room adequate in size. About average to smaller bathroom and bedroom. Lots of tunnelled affect of road noise, although the streets below not as busy as the noise that is made. Clean tidy room.

This is the second time I've stayed at Hotel de Fleurie. It's in a great location. Five- minute walk to Jardin de Luxembourg, Les Deux Magots, rue de Buci, etc, yet fairly quiet. This time however I was first assigned a room whose window looked onto a wall and the only light to the window was as if through a... More

These factors provide a pleasant experience. Not expect a big room, but for Paris standards it is very suitable. You can reach a lot of charming cafés and metro stations in a short walk. The staff is gentle and friendly.

This hotel is incredibly well situated. We walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Orsay and the Rodin museum from here. It is surrounded by a variety of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Lots of sidewalk cafes nearby. The room was tiny but there is ample storage areas so you can unpack. Bed is comfortably firm. Bathroom is good... More

The location of this hotel is perfect for us. It is close to good restaurants, the metro, the RER and lots of sightseeing. The rooms are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is free wi-fi, but it does not work very well on the upper floors. The connection is good on the ground floor and there... More

Having chosen this hotel based on trip advisor reviews we were disappointed in the actual experience. Location of the hotel is fantastic, and for that reason alone we would perhaps return. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep and very handy for the Odeon metro stop. Our room was small (which was as expected) but had very little... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
