Two-night stay last March, as we waited for our apartment--so I forgot to review. Reading here the management's inability to accept criticism, I have been sparked to add my two cents. The location is great. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was modern. But the construction outside the windows beginning at 8 in the morning drove us nuts. Now... More

First things first. This is Paris. That means the staff are rude and everyone smokes, it seems it's compulsory here. I have been here many times and I get the deal. But if there is one thing that will ruin a stay it is the strong smell of tobacco. My room stunk of it and there was nothing to do.... More

Dear bigdanMelbourne, thank you for your comment. I am very surprise that you could smell smoke inside your room because our hotel in entirely non smoking and we pay good attention for our guests to respect this policy. It can be true that if you open your windows on the street, you can smell some odors that we can't control.... More

Very good hotel with good staff. Nice area for tourists - with many dining options and nearby metro. In addition within walking distance to eiffel ower, rodin museum, and history museum. Rooms are expensive, but this is an expensive neighborhood

Although I found the hotel very quaint with a quiet neighborhood and convenient location to the metro, it was much smaller and had more "rules" than I expected (see below). The front desk was polite enough, though seemed to just take care of the bare minimum for us in terms of logistical issues like check-in or helping with dinner reservations.... More

Dear Jennifer S, thank you for your comment. I will answer even if you asked us not to... You just can't compare us, a very good 3 stars boutique hotel, to a palace such as Park Plaza or Hyatt!!! We are not the same size, not the same service and not the same price. Our room are much bigger than... More

This hotel was one recommended in the Rick Steves Paris book. I was impressed by how consistent the Tripadvisor reviews were as well. We stayed for 4 nights in early June with our two college aged kids in the 6th floor suite (Rms 63 & 64) with an outer door that allowed the two inner room doors to be kept... More

Our room (42) overlooked the gilt dome at the Invalides--great view. Rooms are quite small, Paris style, but comfortable, especially the air conditioning. Breakfast is basic & room is small for breakfast. If breakfast isn't included, a morning walk down to Rue Cler for a pastry and coffee might be better. Easy metro access about a block away. Rue Cler... More

Dear Lynn65_12, thank you very much for your comment. Room #42 has one of the best view of the golden Dôme of les Invalides. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to welcome you again sometimes. Have a nice summer. Best regards. Charline More

Very nice Hotel, had a room on the 6th floor which had a bathroom separated from the bedroom. Very spacious. Did not pay for breakfast as it was simply cold meats etc.. with a bit of toast. Had breakfast at a couple of local café's in the mornings. Overall for the purpose of my trip (business) it was perfect, but... More

I picked this hotel after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. I was very happy with our choice. The hotel is in a great location (5 min walk from eiffel tower) and very close to subway station. Our room was very large. It was decorated very nice and we had an amazing view of the Hotel de Invalades. It was very... More

The location of the Hotel de l'Empereur cannot be beat. It is a smaller hotel and the rooms are very quaint and comfortable. The room we stayed in overlooked the Dome des Invalides where Napoleon is buried. The hotel was within walking distance to Rue Cler, the Metro, and the Eiffel Tower. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. Not a... More

My friend and I stayed here for only 2 nights, so glad we did. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Paris and this is now my favorite. Lots of Americans seem to stay here and the front desk personnel speak English easily. It’s kind of a sleepy neighborhood but that’s ok, it’s just one block from the metro station, you... More

Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
