I've stayed at the Hotel Empereur several times over the past four years, but was shocked at their inflexible, uncompromising position when I informed them that I had to cancel - EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SEVEN WEEKS IN ADVANCE. They had SEVEN weeks to rebook the room, but still took more than $1,000 U.S. Dollars from me. No refund, no... More

Dear davidG1520LT, thank you very much for your comment. You should have written first that you chose to book a room with the price "NOT CANCELLABLE, NOT REFUNDABLE" and that is the reason why we didn't want to accept your cancellation without fees. I guess that You've read the cancellation policy before going at the end of your booking and... More

Traveling with a Rick Steve's tour, which uses this hotel. We arrived earlier than the tour to have a few days on our own and to recover from travel. This is a wonderful hotel, within walking distance of Rue Cler district for food and shopping. Bathroom updated with state of the art equipment. Quiet, cozy but elegant this is a... More

We stayed here for 3 days after a 17 day tour of France. We also stayed at Le Meridian and a Pullman hotel while in Paris as part of the tour. We found this hotel to be charming, very modern and up-to-date, and in a great location. We were able to walk to the d'Orsay, Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Rue... More

Having stayed here three times now, I can honestly say that this hotel and staff consistently provide a great place to stay and welcoming service. Rooms function well, provide a good night sleep, and can offer a great view (if you select the room with a view). Close to the Metro and no more than a 15 minute walk to... More

Within a block, there is a Metro Station, bus stop, and to many restaurants to count. The bus stop is a straight shot to either the Louvre or Orsay museums. Shopping on the Rue Clear is half a block away and has a food market, wines, fruit stands and specialty dinning. The Hotel is clean and large for Europe standards.... More

Exactly what was required. Quiet location with a comfy room and lovely en suite. Pebbled floor is the shower was a nice touch too. Friendly staff were on hand and the features of this classic Parisian building are charming. But the location is the main thing - we walked everywhere from here. No need to get brekkie included as there... More

My partner and I stayed in this hotel last February (2014), and the room was beautiful - our view overlooked the Les Invalides dome and was incredible to look at when lit up in the evening. Room was slightly on the small side, but it definitely was made up for with the comfort it provided. I was poorly one evening,... More

General rating 3 Paris rating 3.5 First impression As I walked into the lobby my first impression was underwhelming, but on reflection the lobby is typical and functional. First impression of the room was that it was very nice and I was very relieved. The room On closer inspection the room was great. It was clean, looked great, looked like... More

I believe this was the perfect place to stay. Service was wonderful and they even let us in our room early. Walking distance to everything in a great location with wonderful restaurants. Clean and comfortable with a great view.

This hotel's main benefit is that it is in a good location not far from the Eiffel Tower. It is located in a quaint, old building with renovated rooms and baths. It seems to meet the qualifications for a 3-star hotel in Paris. It is a good price considering the location. We would rate this hotel as satisfactory. Be advised... More

Dear Kari D, thank you to have taken time to write your comment. I am very surprised that you say we barely speak english at the reception... And I think you are the first guest to say this. Stéphanie, Rémy, Kessi and Hakim speak very good english and they have training often to make sure their english is still accurate.... More
