The hotel has been renewed, the bed was comfortable and the room's size excellent compared to french size. amazing location, metro 12 and 4 few steps away. we stayed in room 15, first floor on the yard, quite and nice. the radiator was a bit noisy during the night, and the drain too.

It was our 2nd visit to this hotel and again we were absolutely satisfied. Nice, quiet and comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff both during the day and at night. Breakfasts were good - freshly cooked omelets were delicious, and this time we even did not try to find other options. Location is optimal from the sightseeing point of... More

Excellent location near the Musee d'Orsay but on a quiet street. Good sized room considering this was in central Paris. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff. We will use this hotel again when we next visit Paris. The breakfast was very good.

We had an excellent stay, at a decent price, at this small hotel near the Musee d'Orsay and all other popular sites in central Paris. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and faced an inward courtyard--affording both light and quiet. The staff were accommodating and efficient, and helped us deal with a few small issues we encountered upon check-in. The... More

Good location. Room not so tiny as average 3-star hotels in Paris. Clean and renewed bathroom. Walk-in shower (that was very good. I wonder when european hotels will notice that half of the world hates bathtubs?). I've read somewhere that this hotel is almost a 4-star. Not true, but surely it's a good value 3-star hotel (for Paris standards).

We have enjoyed from a big and modern room, with a queen-size bed, good acclimatization and no noise at all The location of the hotel is perfect, you can go walking to almost everywhere in Paris, and you are very close to the best area for dinner, with lots of good and not-expensive restaurants. The service is correct. The hotel... More

Strongly recommend Hotel Universite in the St. Germain area of Paris. Able to walk or metro everywhere from this base. Great dining in the St. Germain area. Very reasonable rates. Very quiet as we had a room that opened into the courtyard. There was an anteroom where we were able to safely secure our luggage. The room was huge by... More

This is the third time I stay in this hotel. Quiet, clean and spacious room with nice view. You'll definitely feel safe around the hotel area and get easily accesssable to different scenic spots and eateries. If you enjoy strolling along side streets and see little shops, rather than department stores, this is a place where you should stay. Staff... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
