I've stayed here twice & will definitely stay here again. Rooms & bathrooms are decent-sized for Paris and the staff are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, no touristy crowds and relatively quiet but near everywhere else you'd want to go to by walking. Friendly locals in the shops & restaurants. Wishlist: Stronger wi-fi signal in the upper floors and... More

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights during Christmas. The room and bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, cleaned every day and very modern. Bed was comfortable and huge. Couldn't fault the staff, all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is right near some lovely restaurants and only a short walk to the louvre. Was on the top floor (4th floor) and... More

Only stayed for one night. Room was a decent size. Bathroom was modern and relatively spacious. Elevator is teeny tiny but that was known and is to be expected. There is construction on the street making it a bit noisy during the day and also made it difficult for the taxi to reach the front door both when arriving and... More

This is a perfect place for a private tour in Paris. Rooms are well equipped, you will find everything you need. Location is relatively quiet, still near the Invalides metro station. Staff kind and helpful. Price acceptable.

I booked this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and the reviews are accurate. I couldn't ask for a better boutique hotel at an excellent location. Room is clean, well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is new, modern clean. Location is walking distance to almost any major sights. It's about less than 10 mins walk (less with... This hotel is a very beautiful solution to stay some days in Paris. It's located near Orsay museum and it's also very close to metro, so you could reach the place you want in few minutes. The room was very pretty and clean, with a comfortable space and a bathroom that seemed like new. Employees and all hotel personnel are... More

I really appreciated my staying in the Hotel de l'Universite. Walking distance from the D'Orsay Museum it's surrounded by antique shops, fashion shops and art galleries. There are also very good restaurants and cafes, where you can taste the best cheese cake ever. I also appreciated the Hotel's spacious room and bathroom which are the same size of regular ones... Stayed only one night, but wished we'd stayed longer. Room 15. Lovely big bed and fantastic bathroom. As said by others, reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Location was great, especially for left bank & central venues. Some nice cafe bars a short distance for lunch or breakfast.

Nice neighborhood feel yet able to walk to all tourist destinations. We walked to Notre Dame- Musee D'Orsay - Eiffel Tower among other places. Did not have breakfast in hotel since there were so many cafes in the neighborhood. One thing I thought was odd was that we were not asked for any ID when checking in.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
