It was great, clean, convenient to the best of Marais. The room was small but this is Paris and we did not expect a large room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Everything is within walking distance and if needed the Metro at St. Paul will take to everywhere including the airport.

Found this online. Last minute summer break traveling alone. Old fashioned feel, with nothing extra my room was clean and cosy with window over rue de turrene. That was great. I didn't have breakfast, who needs that in Paris? But saw the spread. Basic and slightly tired looking room in the old 17th c. Nice original ceiling..... Staff very nice,... More

Very good hotel and centrally located to the Eiffel Tower and many other tourist attractions!! The staff was very nice and always willing to help you get around especially when we decided to use the metro system to get around Paris. Rooms are small but comfortable. Will recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

Lovely little boutique hotel in a great area as well. Prices are decent as well for Paris. Only little issue is the shower was leaking and the water kept seeping onto the carpet through the wall....I don't think there was a mold issue but the carpet was wet by the bathroom wall. That's a very minor detail as I'm sure... More

This is a wonderful little boutique hotel in the Marais district of Paris. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate with a modern bathroom. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. There is a great boulangerie next door that makes the best croissants & breads. The local area has a wide selection of restaurants & cafes and it is 2 minutes... More

The staff is absolutey accommodating, cordial, professional. The whole atmosphere is a bit quirky, or maybe it's just the smallness that gives an air of detached quiet. And this is not a bad thing! Breakfasts are ok. The subterranean carved-from-rock dining room is pretty unique. I loved it; others may want more glitz. You won't find it here, but again:... More

I recently stayed at this charming little boutique hotel. It is really lovely, and the staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms are small, but very nicely appointed. The location was excellent! I typically stay in the St. Germain des Pres area, but I really LOVED staying in the Marais!

Roomier than our previous hotel -- with beautiful views of Parisian rooftops -- our stay at Hostellerie du Marais was just right. Good service, updated amenities, and the perfect location for hopping around the Marais. We skipped the breakfast because the weather was so nice -- didn't feel like eating in a dark basemant! Also didn't take advantage of the... More

Found this hotel in Marais after reading the reviews in TA. We got a room on the fourth floor towards the street. The room was small but nice and the bathroom above average. Very clean and quiet. We also thought the breakfast was better than usual in a three star hotel and the service in the reception was very friendly.... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
