Fantastic location, and this hotel room was our perfect introduction to Paris. Comfortable and clean/modern bathroom with very nice deep tub, while room is very clean and comfortable. The front desk was helpful, and I'd definitely recommend.

Stayed with friends for a long weekend, we had a great time, just what you'd expect, maybe on the expensive side of reasonable but we enjoyed it and had no complaints. The brekafast was not extensive, poor quality bread and al lot of single packed items - but very friendly waitstaff. We would go back, but not for the breakfast.

We loved spending our first week in Paris here. The room was cozy and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. We wanted to experience a place with an historic feel and loved the sitting rooms, the breakfast room, the winding staircase, elevator, and being in a smaller place with character. Le Marais was a wonderful area and this hotel was... More

We recently stayed here for a quick stop in Paris. Beautiful boutique hotel now undergoing a renovation. Perfect area and well priced. Very clean and most of all the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here and am pleased we were lucky enough to stay prior to the renovations. The only downside our room was... More

This was a lovely hotel on what I think of as the edge of the marais. I actually preferred that it was near the edge because it allowed me to fully traverse the neighborhood instead of having to backtrack to fully explore the famous marais. It is really close to some "American" restaurants, though I did not try such restaurants... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hostellerie du Marais! The hotel is small, but in a charming 17th century building. It does have an elevator - but tres petit! The rooms are small, but comfortable and the bathrooms modern, clean and with nice toiletries. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and after only 3 days, I felt... More

We stayed at this lovely property in early September 2015. It was perfect for us; clean, quiet (our room was on the 3rd floor on a side street), comfortable bed, modern bathroom. The reception area is very home-like, and the people working there were extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was great, with many restaurants and cafes nearby, along with... More

Hostellerie du marais is a very hip and trendy area. Saint Paul metro station is just 5 minutes walk. Rooms are clean and staff are helpful. Very pleasant hotel close to city centre. Rooms are small, as to be expected with a conversion from a 17th century house. The bathroom is modern and well-equipped but tall users may have to crouch under the sloping ceiling to use the shower. Very helpful and friendly receptionist. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Free wifi worked OK. Easy online booking. Decent... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
