Here are my top 6 reasons we enjoyed our stay here: 1. Great staff! Courteous, helpful, and very kind. They advised on attractions, helped by calling in dinner reservations, airport connections etc. Although we worked on our french vocabulary before going, it was still great to let the staff help. 2. Great location! Across the street from the Pantheon, we... More

Hotel Grands Hommes really grew on us during our stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had room 10, which was a tiny room but it felt very French (which we enjoyed). We stayed for six nights. Pros: +LOCATION - Great location, the Latin Quarter. A three block walk to a RER/Metro station in a couple directions. Including... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May . We had a room on the third floor overlooking the Pantheon. The room itself was a superior room and was very clean and a reasonable size by Parisienne standards. It had a comfy bed with spotless linen and the bathroom was nicely decorated albeit the floor got soaked after showering.... More

my fiancé and I spent a week here over the forth of July. It's in an excellent location to explore neighborhoods like the latin quarter and to get more of a feel of what the non-touristy parts of Paris are like. It's a cosy walk over to Notre Dame and the Lourve.

We spent three nights at this hotel in early May. In short, we were delighted. Located next to the Pantheon and a short walk from the Latin Quarter and the Luxembourg Gradens, it is perfect. The rooms are modern but small. The size didn't seem important, though. Everything was bright, modern, and clean. We lucked out and got a room... More

We had a wonderful four night stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful and provide great restaurant recommendations. We were able to check in early so didn't even think to ask for a room with a view of the pantheon but I wish we had! Our room, while still great, just faced the back of some buildings. I will... We loved everything about the hotel. My girlfriend arrived in Paris a day before I did since I was traveling for business in another European country. This was both of our first times to Paris. In anticipation, I contacted the hotel and they provided us with detailed instructions on how to navigate the RER (Paris light rail system from the... More

This charming little hotel stole my heart. My husband brought me to Paris to propose and chose the perfect hotel for our 4 night stay. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and offered us their largest room upon check in which was spacious, quaint ,quiet and very clean. The hotel is in the perfect location as it is walking... We have stayed here before, each time our room overlooked the Pantheon. Room closet space and bathroom were fine but there was no free bottle of water, iron or trouser press or coffee making facilities. One day having left our room in the morning returning at 4.00 the room still had not been serviced. The biggest drawback was that all... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
