Paris hotels are not easy but this one is super nice and fairly well located. Some rooms are quite small. Be sure to ask for the bigger ones on the top floor. The breakfast doesn't have a great choice but the food is good.

I stayed here for business nearby however I would be delighted to stay here on a personal trip. The building decor is individual and whilst the rooms and communal areas are compact, they are well proportioned and don't distract at all. Furnishings are very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and room service also very decent.

Excellent location and in January a good room rate, which are nice decorates, but rooms are small. I had a rain-shower with no enough water pressure. Breakfast is ok, but breakfast area not my cup of tea as chairs are too low for tall people.

Dear Jan R, We thank you for taking time to give your opinion about your stay at Hotel du Ministere. Regarding our rooms, you choose the Single Standard room category, which is the smallest one. The Hotel du Ministere has also largest rooms, as our Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites. In March 2015, the hotel will be extended and will... More

Very chic-small but tastefully appointed rooms, nice breakfast, and a management/ownersh group with a keen eye to contemporary design and art. I would definitely stay there again. Last stayed in this arrondissement at a far more expensive place and was frankly more satisfied with the Hotel Du Ministere experience.

Dear David B, First of all I really would like to thank you for your nice comment and rating! As you describe, Hotel du Ministere is perfectly styled with contemporary design and art, as the owner wanted to have a Boutique Hotel with a collection of masterpieces, not only to be part of its modern décor but also he wanted... Having not been on vacation for quite some time, my partner and I expected much from the hotel and we were greeted accordingly. We stayed for three nights in the junior suite. Upon a gracious welcome, we were pleased to find out that a bottle of champagne was waiting for us as we had arrived on new year's eve. Later... More

This is a pleasant small hotel, tucked away up a very quiet side street close to the Rue Faubourg. It's about equidistant from three metro stations, of which the closest is Madeleine. You can walk to almost all of the main attractions of the city. It's the sort of small, intimate, boutique hotel that is common in Paris but almost... More

My husband and I stayed here for 9 nights in November and were extremely pleased with the accommodations and friendly, helpful staff. We were able to walk to most every attraction. Also, the breakfast buffet was very well supplied and we were able to have a nourishing breakfast every morning. We would certainly return here due to its location and... More

I have stayed twice in this hotel already for my business trips because it is extremely well located, close to very good restaurants and handy for moving around and even doing a last minute shopping. I strongly recommend it and will definitely continue using it every time I come to Paris. The people are extremely friendly as well. No complaints!

My husband and I recently discovered this hotel. Great location in the 8th arr. The rooms are lovely, though small. The staff is wonderfully accommodating. The breakfasts are great. And the gym is totally charming - in what was the cellar of a 16th C. nunnery.

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
