This hotel was superbly located for major cultural attractions, food, shopping, gallery-going and access to transportation. I thought the price was reasonable, the staff was welcoming and friendly, and the place has character! Its a very photogenic hotel. I was traveling alone so wasn't bothered by the fact that the shower and sinks were slightly exposed to the rest of... More

The location is ideal, and you can walk to many of the top tourist attractions in Paris, like the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, and the Louvre. There are tons of small street shops right next to the hotel with delicious lunch food. The continental breakfast is great, and the hotel staff are friendly and nice. When you close the hotel... Paris hotels are not easy but this one is super nice and fairly well located. Some rooms are quite small. Be sure to ask for the bigger ones on the top floor. The breakfast doesn't have a great choice but the food is good.

I stayed here for business nearby however I would be delighted to stay here on a personal trip. The building decor is individual and whilst the rooms and communal areas are compact, they are well proportioned and don't distract at all. Furnishings are very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and room service also very decent.

Excellent location and in January a good room rate, which are nice decorates, but rooms are small. I had a rain-shower with no enough water pressure. Breakfast is ok, but breakfast area not my cup of tea as chairs are too low for tall people.

Very chic-small but tastefully appointed rooms, nice breakfast, and a management/ownersh group with a keen eye to contemporary design and art. I would definitely stay there again. Last stayed in this arrondissement at a far more expensive place and was frankly more satisfied with the Hotel Du Ministere experience.

Dear David B, First of all I really would like to thank you for your nice comment and rating! As you describe, Hotel du Ministere is perfectly styled with contemporary design and art, as the owner wanted to have a Boutique Hotel with a collection of masterpieces, not only to be part of its modern décor but also he wanted... Having not been on vacation for quite some time, my partner and I expected much from the hotel and we were greeted accordingly. We stayed for three nights in the junior suite. Upon a gracious welcome, we were pleased to find out that a bottle of champagne was waiting for us as we had arrived on new year's eve. Later... More

This is a pleasant small hotel, tucked away up a very quiet side street close to the Rue Faubourg. It's about equidistant from three metro stations, of which the closest is Madeleine. You can walk to almost all of the main attractions of the city. It's the sort of small, intimate, boutique hotel that is common in Paris but almost... More

I have stayed twice in this hotel already for my business trips because it is extremely well located, close to very good restaurants and handy for moving around and even doing a last minute shopping. I strongly recommend it and will definitely continue using it every time I come to Paris. The people are extremely friendly as well. No complaints!

Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
