My wife and I came here to visit Paris for a few days. We wanted somewhere in a good, safe, convenient location, that was clean but not too spiffy since we were going to be out of the hotel for most of the day. This place was sooooo welcoming and helpful. I even called internationally to ask if they could... More

We stayed at the Pas de Calais for 7 nights, originally booked 10, but were unable to find another hotel because of high occupancy in the area. This was our third stay and we had booked a deluxe room as we had been very happy with the highest category room in the past. Sadly we were given a substandard room... More

Our stay at the Pas de Calais in early October far exceeded our expectations. Alexis and his staff--who are all fluent in both French and English--not only met our accommodation needs, their recommendations about places to see, the best way to get there and where to find that unusual item you can't do without away from home always hit the... I stayed here for 4 days with my husband for our honeymoon, and Hotel Pas de Calais was our Parisian home away from home. Valerie was such a pleasure to deal with, she arranged the perfect Superior Room for us, which was modernly decorated, large and clean toilets and a large comfortable bed! She also helped us to recommend and... More

This hotel is in the nicest part of Paris, well located to all the museums, galleries and brasseries. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms are reasonably sized for Paris, well kept and tastefully decorated. I would definitely return stay again when in Paris.

What can I say after so many years? Always a pleasure. Paris's hidden gem. Best everything. Rooms are all lovely. Staff is the friendliest and most accommodating. Best location in Paris. Easy access to subway, buses, lots of eating, art galleries. No one is unhappy at the Pas de Calais.

We are very happy to have found this hotel. For an average rate of 153 euros during week-end, you get a quite large and quiet room (we had nr 29), with all appliances in perfect order. Very clean. Soft and comfortable bed. TV, wifi, safe box. Silent and obedient airconditioning. Very friendly, helpful staff. This is perfect. The hotel is... More

We chose this lovely little hotel based on reviews on Trip Advisor. It was a very good choice. Our room was a bit small but fine for us. The room and bathroom were very clean and welcoming. The staff was terrific. The desk staff arranged to buy tickets for us to Musee D'Orsay and recommended and booked dinner reservations for... More

When the popular right bank is sold out, this jewel on the left bank is worth considering. While there was a challenge in the original room they gave us, Laura at reception was quick and courteous about meeting our needs. Sadly, there is a woman there that almost ruined our experience but dont let one bad apple stop you .Rooms... More

Tucked away on a quiet steet but walking distance to everything: restaurants, cafes, and the main Paris sights. Friendly front desk staff, great room big by Paris standards and well appointed with high ceilings, luxurious draperies and a lovely modern high-end bathroom. Tried to extend our stay but they were solidly booked because of fashion week. Highly recommended, best of... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
