I was lucky enough to find out about this Hotel through a friend who saw the newly renovated room on her last trip to Paris. The room was a perfect size, the outlook was a classic Paris view over the roof tops and the location in St. Germain des Pres was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful,... More

We booked two rooms: one for the kids and one for my wife and I. The setup worked perfectly, although our room was a little small. This is a great option for staying in Paris in an excellent neighborhood. The staff could not be nicer, and the breakfast area provides a great opportunity to meet visitors to Paris from a... More

This hotel is not fancy - it's just a plain hotel in St Germain - but it is wonderfully located, quiet, clean, good value, with a great breakfast ... And some very funky art work. The people that run it are nice and very helpful and professional. An example - there was an issue that I booked trough Expedia and... More

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in May 2015. We chose the hotel to fit with our budget and because of its central location. Situated on a quiet side street just a minute or so from the bustling, up-market Blvd Saint-Germain we were delighted with the hotel. The small bright foyer with its beautiful Orchid wall was... Hotel Pas de Calais was in a great position with easy walking to the Eiffel Tower, Seine etc. The staff very hospitable and facilities clean and comfortable. a continental breakfast was on offer but you could order a cooked breakfast if you desired. Area surrounded by good cafes and high end shopping.

Having been to Paris several times in the past, we decided to give more time to the St. Germaine-des-Pres neighbourhood in our latest France tour. We selected this hotel based on Tripadvisor's reviews and were happy to have made the choice. We had a small standard room. But it was very clean throughout. Even the grout in the bathroom looked... A lovely hotel with fab location for exploring Paris. It's a quick walk to the river and over the river was the Louvre where you can get on the open top buses. We used the free wifi in the hotel which was generally ok. The cafes nearby were lovely and lots to explore around the narrow streets not far away.

Spent 5 nights in this very welcoming hotel with large and comfortable rooms, modern and large baths and welcoming staff. Fantastic location in St Germaine. Very good breakfast served in comfortable and pretty lobby. We would return for sure. MK

We could not ask for better location - can walk to most sights, and trains, we discovered, are easy. Rooms a bit small, so we upgraded. Try breakfast in the room…no extra cost. Pleasant, efficient staff throughout.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
