Parisians are known for being skinny but once seeing the elevator here and the sign that says "3 people max" one has to question their diet. Aside from really the smallest elevator in France, this is a very pleasant and well located hotel. Close to 4 metro line and in the great area of Saint Germain des Pres, it is... More

I arrived on the 1st of March 2015. The location is on a small street, Rue de Saint Pères. The hotel is in an unassuming building, until you enter the lobby. greeted by a warm welcome, I was impressed with the decoration and the feeling in the lobby. Checkin was simple and fast. The lift did make me laugh. As... More

I have stayed few times in Hotel Pas de Calais and each time I like it better. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the Saint Germain des Pres district, in the Rive Gauche (Left Side) of Paris, near most things people go to Paris to see. The hotel is traditional French and it belongs to the same... More

Stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Paris. The standard was good, service excellent and very good breakfast. The location of the hotel was perfect - if you fancy this part of Paris. I will definately stay her again.

I always stay in this hotel. Not expensive and great location with friendly staff. Highly recommend you stay here. Not much else to say, but I'm forced to write 200 characters, which seems a little silly

Great location hotel in St Germain, walking distance for the main sightseeings and great restaurants . Good breakfast and fair price. Cosy rooms and nice staff. It was a good surprise. The website doesn't make justice to the hotel.

The location is terrific in the Saint Germain neighborhood, just a ten minute walk to the Seine and the Louvre. The Rue Saint Peres is totally charming. We had a wonderful view of the Paris rooftops. Our room was beautiful with a very nice large bathroom. Our breakfast was relaxing and delicious. The staff was totally friendly and helpful.

Nice location, nice hotel in principle. The cheapest room (over 200€ w/o breakfast) was quite outdated (70's tiles in the bathroom). I do not quite understand why with the high hotel prices it is not possible to regularly modernise a hotel interior and why there was no obvious fundamental renovation of the hotel since decades, it's shows its age. New... More

Dear Johnclo, I am sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience at our hotel. You booked two rooms in december. One Standard and one Classic. One of you stayed in a “standard” room. It is the only room in the hotel which is yet to be renovated. It was redecorated 3 years ago but it will be fully renovated in February.... More

We arrived in the morning after an overnight flight and were able to immediately check in to our room; very personal and welcoming staff that could not do enough to make our first visit to Paris very special; very clean, comfortable room with towel warmer, amenities. Room was very quiet. Lift is small but not a problem for us. Can... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
