We spent 3 days here, mid September 2014. The location is fantastic, directly opposite the Louvre. We walked everywhere. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate. Our room, 41, had a balcony and looked over The Seine, just wonderful. It is a noisy road but traffic noise only, no bars or people talking. With the doors closed you hear nothing but... More

Stayiing opposite the Louvre on the Seine is magic. We took early morning photos and sunset photos. Our double superior room on the 4th floor had a small balcony and it was worth the extra cost. The room was decorated in red and gold and was in quite good condition, The continental breakfast was very convenient and saved time finding... More

I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents who stayed here for two nights prior to a river cruise last month, but don't do Trip Advisor reviews. Their travel agent recommended it and the rate was cheap for Paris. As mentioned in all the other reviews, the best thing about this hotel is its Seine-side location. My Dad FaceTime'd... More

This hotel captured my heart and I look forward to my next visit with eager anticipation. I understand how some folk would prefer a bland, soulless, big chain hotel, so those people please stay away. If you have some appreciation of history, enjoy fine views, good service and much more it would be hard to beat the charming Quai Voltaire.

Location is everything in Paris and this is about as central as you get without going into the realms of scary hotel prices. It is pretty basic. The rooms were fine, but tired, threadbare carpets and seriously creaky floorboards. There is very little in the way of effort made by the front of house staff to make you feel welcome... More

Stayed here late August - max air temp outside was 19C. Nearest metro is Musée Dorsay (RER C) about 7 minutes walk or St Germain des Pres (Line 4) about 10 mins. The location is brilliant for Musée D'Orsay, Louvre, Notre Dame, St Germain. As requested we had a lovely view of the Seine and The Louvre from our room... More

The check in was quick and the rooms were ready when we arrived. The hotel is situated close to the RER, museums and has a spectacular view over the Seine River. The windows that open are insulated to block out the noise when closed from the street, but we left it open to take advantage of the cool air and... More

If you are a light sleeper, DON'T choose this hotel!! My daughter and I have just returned from our stay and are extremely tired due to a terrible nights sleep. No, not from the river outside (the double glazing is very effective) but from everyone staying in the rooms surrounding us. There was a constant creaking of floorboards all night... More

This has to be the best hotel in Paris. The location was perfect for us. The moment you step into your room and open the French doors overlooking the seine and the louvre you know you are in Paris. There are so many great restaurants nearby. We ate at the terminus cafe . Loved rue du bac . Loved everything... More

Looking across the river directly opposite Le Louvre for a very reasonable nightly rate is hard to top. This quaint hotel has history and a genuine Parisian feel. You can walk anywhere and it's also close to metros (though we cabbed there from the airport for 60 euro). There's hire bicycles across the road too. The rooms are simple but... More
