The location of this hotel is it's best feature, second only to the price. Do not expect a standard American hotel - the room are small, as European rooms tend to be. They are also somewhat shabby, but it just adds to the Parisian feel of the place. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. I would not recommend however... More

I stayed here for a second time after 10 years. This time I went with my 11 year old granddaughter. The location is perfect opposite the Louvre with a fantastic river view. It is not a plastic chain hotel. It is quirky and has character. Our room was on the fifth floor with a brilliant river view. The beds were... More

This hotel is basic but in a fantastic position for all tourist attractions. Hop on hop off bus 5 minute walk, Eiffel Tower about 30 minutes and opposite the river and The Louvre, next door to Museum D'Orsay. The hotel serves breakfast, there is a bar and lounge room for happy hour if needed. Serviced daily.

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Quai Voltaire for 5 nights whilst holidaying in Europe. The hotel is located in a superb location with so many locations within an easy walk. The hop On Hop Of Bus stop is just up the road from the hotel and the Batabus stops just across the river. Staff personality were initially... More

Older style hotel and very small rooms but has lots of charm and is perfectly positioned in walking distance to many of Paris' popular tourist attractions. Situated on The River Seine it was quite noisy when balcony doors were opened but once closed for sleeping there was no noise. Clean and reasonably priced. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I had to plan a last minute trip to Paris that required me to stay in the Saint Germain neighborhood over a weekend in June (translation: prices were NUTS). I stumbled across Quai Voltaire and went for it, not really sure what to expect as I tend to go for higher category properties. When I arrived I was greeted by... More

This is a small hotel in a very old Parisian building of some significance situated in a magical spot on the River Seine directly opposite the Louvre. So centrally located, walking the left bank area was a dream. Even though on a main thoroughfare, and having a front room with a balcony, the room was very quiet, although it did... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May and really enjoyed my stay Staff are very friendly and the location is wonderful with a view across the Seine River. Had a lovely room with a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to visit Paris again.

I can't say enough about the VIEWS and the VERY reasonable cost associated with it! I was there at twenty-six and chose out of the whole world to go there to celebrate my 50th Birthday. I just stood on the room "balcony" staring at the Louvre and street traffic below in TOTAL AWE, the view was as AWESOME as I... More

One cannot beat the location, the view from the rooms and the front desk service. Located on the Seine across from the Lourve, a block from the Musee De Orsay, a short walk to Notre Dame cathedral, and a five minute subway ride to the Eiffel Tower you are centrally located to the major sights of Paris. Restaurants of all... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
