Stayed here for 3 days and felt "at home" with the friendly staff in this nice historic hotel. Got two superior rooms - and both rooms are quiet despite the lively area outside. Walking distance to several memorable historic places for writers and thinkers. Close to the rail station from/to the Charles de Gaulle airport (RER B) by the Luxembourg... More

Excellent location, clean room, nice personnel, good restaurants in the neighbourhood; 5 minutes walk from Jardin du Luxembourg, 25 minutes by Metro from Gare du Nord. And the name of the hotel is easy to remember: Odeon hotel, rue de l'Odeon, Metro Odeon.

We had a lovley stay at the odeon hotel. Very clean and well maintained rooms although not the newest but that made the typical parisian charm for us. We definitely would stay again at the odeon hotel. Again, many thanks to the odeon hotel team.

I stay at the Hotel Odeon several nights every year, because the rooms are very comfortable and the hotel staff are charming and very attentive. It is in an excellent location, near to the RER for Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports, as well as the Odeon metro. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the museés Cluny, Louvre... More

I fell off a stair by reception in the Odeon Hotel and twisted my ankle, although the staff seemed concerned, when I asked to make a report, I was treated like I had done something wrong by falling. I asked to speak with the owner/manager (never heard from her) and have emailed the hotel twice with NO response. That was... More

As you would expect in a metropolitan city, room sizes tend to be small. The staff was most accommodating and extremely helpful and friendly. The windows are charming but when closed, they really keep the city sounds down to a quiet level.

This was a last minute booking, so I didn't have the opportunity to query about the room. It turned out very small, but with some closet space and a pretty good bathroom with tub and L'Occitane amenities. The room, with its one medium-size window, looked onto a courtyard filled with scaffolding because of renovations that are ongoing. If I'd stayed... More

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in August 2014, the room was small but we expected that event though they offered a larger room we were more than happy with what was allocated to us. The room was comfortable, the bed was perfect and the bathroom well appointed. We had street views which were great just to take... More

Always a pleasure, we have stayed a number of times and are always pleased and impressed . The staff are always so charming and helpful, it is the perfect location for exploring Paris. Close to the metro and Seine with all the excitement of St Germain literally on the doorstep. Will visit again soon

This was our second visit to the Odeon Hotel and, hopefully, will not be our last. The staff - from the front desk to the other services - were helpful, gracious and warm. The rooms were clean, the location very convenient and the overall ambiance memorable.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
