To inquire about a room on their website you have to give them your credit card number. i was dumb enough to do that and they never responded back to me. they simply billed for not showing up. no information, no confirmation, no response from them of any kind. it just shows up on your credit card bill. They of... more

The male desk staff displayed repeated and incredible rudeness to the women and young people in our party, reducing several to tears for no apparent reason other than some display of power. The sister who also does desk work is, on the other hand, as kind and ehplful as any desk person in France -- too bad the family can't... more

This hotel offers a cheap stay within the center ring of Paris. There is a metro nearby, making you very mobile. There is also a paid parking nearby. I think it beats a hostal, but that more or less says it all. In my case the rooms were clean. The view of the room was ok. I spent 80 euros... more

Background: my wife and I had wound up (thanks to a grossly misleading New York Times article) in a total dump (elsewhere review by me on this site) that we fled from after one terrible night. Happily we found the Alhambra and while we paid a bit more (something like 100 euros/night for a large room (normally for three) --... more

My familiy travels about 4 times per year and we usually stay at 2-3 star hotel. But I most say that the manager at this hotel is the most unpleasent person I meet in a long time. He screams at you and called our kids nasty things. Wouldnt recommend this hotel to ANYONE!! more

Hotel is right next to Oberkampf metro station, in a quiet sidestreet, so within easy reach of all main attractions. Room was clean though fairly small. Staff were friendly and helpful. Typical French breakfast i.e. pretty basic. Had a PC in lobby area which gave free (slowish) internet access. more

My latest stay in this hotel was in May 2008, but since 1999, I have been a regular guest at the Alhambra. From spring to late autumn, you can enjoy breakfast in their spacious patio amidst all kinds of plants and flowers. And believe me, for a small Parisian hotel like the Alhambra, this is quite exceptional ! The rooms... more

very friendly staff, our room was a twin which was small but very clean - there was no room between the beds and the pillow was kind of non existent, but adequate if you are only staying a couple of days. Very close to the metro station, which is only 4 short stops from the Gare de nord, so perfect... more

Monica Pepine, Bucharest, Romania Have been to Alhambra 10 days ago and everything was beyond my expectations. I was travelling with my husband and my 8-years-old daughter so we stayed in a triple room (with 3 nice and very comfortable beds), with view on a charming little street and it was just perfect. Very clean - in fact the cleaning... more
