We have stayed at the Alhambra in London and Spain and they were fine. So we stayed here when we went to Paris but it's the last time I stay with them. The manager was obnoxious and unhelpful as they made a mess of our booking and basically just blamed it on us and it took us so long to... More

Extremely poor customer service, I booked this hotel for June 2016 however following making this booking my father was diagnosed with cancer, I cancelled booking within an hour of booking it due to the bad news I had received. The hotel took the full €661 from my bank account, would not empathise with my situation that I would not know... More

I stayed in Alhambra for 6 days in our recent trip to Paris and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms looked exactly like the pictures with no surprises. We had 2 large suitcases with 1 cabin sized luggage and still room for us to walk in the room. The only thing is that the lift can only take 3 passengers... More

We recently stayed at the Alhambra Hotel during a trip to Paris. I have previously stayed in Parisian Hotels and found the rooms extremely cramped but our bedroom was enormous. It was also bright and welcoming with a good sized bathroom. Although it was on the street side there was no noise at night that I heard. Breakfast was fairly... More

We stayed at the Hotel Alhambra in June 2015. After a delayed flight it was such a pleasure to come to a hotel with a garden area and relax. The room was clean and spacious for a European hotel. The breakfast had a great variety. But the best part was coming back after a long day of tours in the... More

Visited Albambra and stayed for 5 nights. Good location accessible by metro (just a couple of steps away!). Rooms are relatively small compared to the photo but still clean and comfortable. Have free wifi but rather slow. Breakfast is good (sit in the garden for the view).

We stayed here during the heat wave of July 2015 and we were glad we did. Hotel Alhambra is extremely conveniently located close to Metro stop 'Oberkamp' and several bus lines (20 & 65 from 'Oberkampf-Filles du Calvaire' to Gare de Lyon, 96 cross town from 'Jean-Pierre Timbaud' or 'Oberkampf-Filles du Calvaire'). It is in the 11th arrondissement, the hip... More

Quiet, convenient accommodation. Within walking distance to station and Republique. Also a pleasant walk to the Seine. It was the only place I booked in Europe which did not include breakfast although there were plenty of lovely places nearby to eat.

Hotel Alhambra is a great pick for Paris adventures. Hotel location is off a quiet street but within steps of a key Paris metro station that puts you only minutes via metro from main attractions. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful, had good working command of English to meet us half-way on our sparse French, and put in the... More

Location great...nice quiet area off the Place de la Republique...metro one minute walk and the square with tourist bus stop about ten minutes stroll. Hotel is small but very chic. Highlights are friendly helpful staff (no experience of rudeness mentioned in other reviews!), particularly Hacen on reception - thank you...and, of course, the lovely tranquil courtyard garden. Our room was... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
