We arrived in Paris and we booked a room at hotel Alhambra. Nice and quiet street ( big problem if you have a car...:-(), clean, nice people. We thought it was expensive but we saw cheaper hotels and...no way. So I think that the price is a normal price for Paris. So, a good hotel for citybreaks or holidays.

Stayed here for 1 night over the weekend with 4 friends. We wanted something close to Marais and this was perfect for Metro from Gare du Nord (direct line) and mooching about during the day/evening. The hotel is modern, very clean and quiet. The beds are really comfy and the bathroom is very clean with a great powerful shower. We... More

We had a lovely stay for three nights at this hotel.. it was very close to the Bataclan where we had tickets to go to a concert.. a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff and our room was excellent, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was very nice,... More

This hotel is in a quiet location near Place de Republique and we were pleased that it was so convenient for visiting the tourist sights of the city. It was also within a few yards of the Metro. The rooms may have been small but they were clean, fresh with very good lighting and modern in design. The bathroom had... More

I had to alter my dates and then there may of been 2 of us but then there was only me, so I had to do a few changes, but I emailed to tell staff this before I arrived and it was all OK. The Tariff was reasonable for Dec/Christmas in Paris, and I paid more the first nite and... More

We were travelling as a couple This hotel is situated in a very handy location, it is about 2 minutes walk (if that) to the Oberkampf metro stop (not sure of the spelling). Checking in at the hotel was standard, the staff were not overly helpful or cheerful. However this is not something that would worry us. The room felt... More

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I booked a room for my father for five nights in what appeared to be a well-placed, small-scale establishment. Indeed, it is well placed, and indeed it is small. However, this was not the biggest issue for us. The greatest problem arose with regard to the staff, who were indescribably rude, aggressive... After 20 years I went back to this hotel and still liked the cosy hotel. The room was great and clean. As mentioned before it is close to the metro and located in a quiet street. We only slept in the hotel, the rest of the time we spent in the city of Paris. We recommend this hotel for your... More

Had a horrible experience at Hotel Alhambra. The man at the front desk ignored us upon arrival and was not friendly at all. We were put in the wrong type of room without apology or explanation. We were happy to put up with this due to the cheap price for a place in Paris however the worst was yet to... More

Conveniently located on a quiet street near a metro station in the good accessibility to the main attractions of Paris. Liked the breakfast, and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and renovated, the relevant application stars.

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day.
