At some level we don't even want to tell the world about this great hotel, for fear it will be overbooked when we want to return. It is ideally situated, within easy walking distance of Place de la Republique, Les Halles, the Picasso Museum, and charming streets full of shops and restaurants. There is only one kitchen-equipped one-bedroom apartment in... More

It was a great surprise for me to discover such a place in the heart of Paris! The Hotel has a cosy atmosphere and the rooms are really nice, furnished with great taste and always super clean! It is situated in the perfect Paris location to make you feel in the middle of everything, while giving you a home and... More

We was reading and looking for different options about hotels in Paris, finally we decided for this hotel and it was a good choice. It is a small hotel (bed and breakfast), it's located 10 minuted from Notre Damme, the Marais neighborhood is very nice. The rooms are clean and quite. I recommend you.

When I was planning my week long visit to Paris, a friend suggested this little "bed and breakfast" place that he and his wife had discovered on the edge of the Marais area. I visited the web site and it looked interesting and would certainly be a different experience from the big chain hotels. Asking for information by e-mail resulted... More

Nice hotel. We received the junior suite as a free upgrade. Breakfast was very good, good coffee, an egg, good offer and enough of everything. Clean and silent rooms and in the neighboorhood of the Marais area.

My mother, 16 year old niece from Australia and I recently stayed for two nights in the Hotel du Haut Marais in a suite. The set up suited us perfectly - Paris is generally known for its tiny hotel rooms but we felt that we had adequate space without getting on top of each other - there was a double... More

Visited Hotel du Haut Marais and have to agree with another reviewer in that it is more a B&B than a hotel. Was provided with an old map of Paris where many of the roads were missing including the road where the hotel was located. When I asked for directions to places, the staff was very vague and not at... More

Stayed for 4 nights at this "hotel" in the Marais. I would say that the biggest advantage of this place is the price. It is a very expensive city with hotels going way above 300's and this hotel had a very good price. It is an old building and the elevator started from 1 st floor. But Didier helped me... More

I was expecting to be "wowed" based upon TripAdvisor reviews, but sadly, I was not. I should have known that a place at this price point wouldn't be as great as the reviews made it seem. If given the chance to stay in Paris again, I wouldn't necessarily stay here again. For reference, we stayed in the suite (room 51).... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
