Superbly positioned for access from Paris CDG Airport, by RER-B train takes about 40 mins plus 10 min max walk to Hotel. Located in the Latin Quarter with plenty of bars/restaurants a few mins walk away. 1.5 hour approx walk along the Banks of the River Seine to the Eiffel Tower. If you don't mind walking a really good base... More

- the service has been correctly, not very good. The room have been very cool. It has been diffcult to sleep well. The heating didn't work correctly. All nights have been so loud that we haven't slept well.

Yes, rooms are small as previous reviews have stated. But it was warm and cosy and in my opinion the location is hard to beat. Spoilt for choice for restaurants, and a short walk to Notre Dame. Hotel clean and modern, breakfast good and staff polite and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The location is the best aspect of this hotel. Beware this was a Best Western until very recently and therefore if you are looking for the Mercure it does not have a sign to see. The locals didn't know where it was either. 7 mins from Notre Dame walking. From Gare du Nord 10 minutes on RER b. Or you... More

This hotel has really small rooms but for the price and location is probably value for money. The bathroom is one of the smallest we had in our time away, you had to sit sideways to sit on the toilet. Bath and shower are combined, water was nice and hot and pressure great. If you are a light sleeper or... More

If you want location, this hotel in ideal. Literally 5 mins walk to the Latin quarter where all the bars and restaurants are and near the Notre Damn. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. Only thing I found about this hotel was the size of the rooms, I paid for a deluxe room and it was still tiny,... More

The hotel is nicely appointed, clean and tidy however rooms are tiny. It's in a good location, not far from St Germain road which has all the restaurants and shops you could ask for. Staff spoke English well and were helpful. Recommend for a short stay if you don't have much luggage.

We stayed the hotel for four nights. We chose it because of great location: only two or three minutes walk to Notre Dame, Seine and other tourist attractions. The room was quite small but clean. You can say same about the bathroom. But it is still nice hotel. The staff was a little stiff but friendly and helpful. They also... More

I booked this hotel online picking it for its location and price. The hotel is clean, well presented and the staff were very helpful and relaxed. Our room was a double room and although being on the small side (typical for Paris) it was still big enough for everything that we needed. The room was clean, well designed and had... More

I stayed here in July with a group of 6 friends. The location was perfect for us. Lots of cafés, small restaurants, shopping, places to buy fruit, snacks, wine, water. Very short walk to Boulevard Saint Michel, the Seine, Notre Dame, Sorbonne, Pantheon. Metro Stations are close by. My room was on the top floor and faced the street. Charming... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
