Not knowing even where i was inntge beginning to criss rossing paris like a pro was due 100% to the great guys and of course Melanie' they not only told how to get places, but printed out easy metro directions, made suggestions, Printemps christmass window displays at night and Melanie' with her ever so soft voice, and easy blushing was... The location of the Hotel is great in the midst of Saint Germain des Prés, just steps away from Boulevard Saint Michel, Sorbonne, Panthéon, Jardin du Luxembourg, Metro Station Cluny-Sorbonne, it is very nice hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful. But the rooms are extremely small though we had a "chambre supérieure". As I stayed alone in the room... More

I recently stayed at this very nice Best Western in the 5th Arrondisement of Paris. The location alone couldn't be better, steps away from so many bus lines and Metro Stations, including an RER Train Station. Convenient 5 minute walk to the large (3 floors) Supermarket/Clothing Store next door to a Starbucks and several international restaurants including an excellent Chinese... More

We stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon, smallish hotel, our room was small and didn't have a view apart from a whitewashed wall but didn't bother us, we were there to explore Paris and this hotel is exactly what its for. Staff were very friendly although a bit disappointed that they didn't acknowledge that it was our honeymoon... More

Immaculately clean Hotel, well situated in the Latin Quarter. Helpful and pleasant staff. Newly refurbished.. Large walk in shower. Lovely large room on the 6th floor. One v. slight niggle...the window would not close fully therefore an awful lot of noise throughout the night.

I stay here frequently when in Paris. Hotel is nicely located in the Latin quarter. Rooms are small but rather new. Breakfast is somewhat chaotic and it's always difficult to get plates and silverware. Otherwise a safe bet in the Latin Quarter.

Be prepared for very tight quarters and no storage space, but very comfortable beds and clean, modern bathroom. However, if you have difficulty climbing into a high tub with no grab bars, ask for a room with shower only. The tub is very slippery with no bath mat, which was difficult for my husband, who recently had hip replacement surgery,... More

The room was clean, the staff was nice. Location is perfect. The rooms are small but decoration lets you feel OK in the room. Only problem we had was noise problem due to this central location. However, we still not sure If we could close the window %100 or just let the noise to the room. As we didnt have... More

My husband and I booked three nights here to celebrate our anniversary on 11th October 2014. We chose the hotel because of its excellent location and upgraded to a superior room. On arrival we were told there had been a flood and for the first night we had been moved to the sister Best Western about 100 metres away. We... More

This was our third time in Paris but our first time at this hotel and the location was perfect. We have previously stayed in the Opera and Republique areas but this was great for us as we have a 2 year old in a buggy so we like to walk everywhere. The rooms are small but it's Paris, most rooms... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
