Our travel agent booked us this room and it could not have been better as far as location was concerned. The hotel room was clean if a little dated. We walked to the Champs Elysee and the Louvre was also nearby. The concierge was a very helpful and fun person who went out of his way to be accommodating. He... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful few days in Paris made even more special by the staff and location of the Hotel Waldorf Madeleine. The room was cosy, well furnished and a welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing. We could walk together, very safely, after eating at the local restaurants every night and it was perfect for walking to... More

We stayed, for the second time, at the Waldorf Madeleine in the new year. After staying there in 2012, the choice was pretty easy to make, as the hotels' location, cleanliness, and the staff are all perfect! Special mention must go to Marc, the concierge, whose info was always spot on and delivered with great humour and enthusiasm...and he was... More

I cannot understand the review which critiques the Hotel Waldorf Madeleine's location. It is FABULOUS and perfect for shoppers and tourists alike. Within a 5 minute stroll you have Laduree for brunch (try the Omelette Laduree rather than the confections), Dior, Chanel and all manner of less grand establishments for shopping. You can easily get to the Rue Haussman and... More

Great location, Marc in the reception was extremely service minded helping with everything. Clean and very nice rooms with aircondition, minibar, English channels in tv, walking distance to most attractions and luxury shopping area just in near by. Also lovely Buddha Bar is a five minute walk from the hotel

We stayed at the Madeleine over Christmas. It was great when we arrived early Christmas morning to find our room was ready after a very long flight. Our room was clean and the hotel was close to everywhere we needed to be. Special mention to Marc the concierge for going above and beyond. Only disappointment was the size of the... More

The service was not at all impressive, the staff were rude at times. The hotel itself was clean and quite beautiful, it's location near the Madeleine was nice however it is a very quiet area with not a lot of people so it lacks much of the busyness and excitement of Paris (this could be because in July many Parisians... Being for the second time consequently at this nice, cosy and well located hotel we were pleased to see that everything is going well this year too. Charm and intimate atmosphere, welcome spirit makes you to feel at home. This year we booked a standard twin beds room (compared with a superior room in 2013), that being room no.307. It... More

If you are looking for a friendly hotel close to all tourist sites this hotel should be on your shopping list. Friendly service who helped with shopping and local restaurants. Transport is nearby but we walked everywhere which was great.

The best part of this place is its location. It's pretty much a 20-30 minute walk from everywhere you might want to go. The room was small - small enough that with two open suitcases on the floor, we had to hop on one foot or jump over the bed to get to the bathroom. While we were there, the... More

Neighborhood Profile
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
