We stayed (a couple) for a weekend at Start of May...booked as a mystery hotel. Upon reading reviews were a little worried...but thankfully was much better than expected. Rooms were cosy and VERY clean, staff were fairly friendly though not over the top...most did speak english which was helpful. The price and location of this hotel are both good...some great... The hotel is very quiet, very clean and tidy, and the staff are lovely. The breakfast room, in the basement, is light and very conveniently laid out. And the breakfast is excellent value. There is a delightful food shop just 100 metres away, and a well-stocked mini market for life's essentials. And plenty of good eating places within a five... More

Stayed 5 nights there in April. The hotel is at walking distance from Place des Voges with a tube station few yards from its location. Nice and caring staff. Nevertheless, they are clean and decorated in a French neo-classical style, fitting well to the immediate environment. Breakfast was excellent and not overpriced. Nevertheless, rooms are too small, but slightly bigger... More

The location and the amiable staff were highlights for this Hotel. We enjoyed walking in all directions to and from this Hotel. We were often greeted by welcoming staff members and others were accommodating when engaged. There are elements of the Hotel that show wear and are in need of some refurbishment. The guest room did not feel thoroughly cleaned... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a trip to Paris with a dozen people from my work. The hotel is centrally located, 3 minutes walk from the metro, and easy to get to. Rooms are reasonably sized, well-maintained and with comfortable furniture. They face a inner courtyard so it's calm and silent even despite the hotel being... More

The hotel is perfectly clean, pleasant and well equipped and centrally located. The colour scheme is a bit alarming but in some ways that adds to the charm . There was someone on duty all night & they were happy to get us a quick cognac when we came home late.

Really cute hotel, and very friendly staff. The rooms were as spacious as I could have hoped from a Parisian hotel, and all of the staff spoke English (and even helped me with my French). Room cleaning wasn't quite as thorough as I'm used to with American hotels, and my room's wine glasses went missing for a day after having... More

Villa Beaumarchais is a small cozy hotel, located a little back from the busy road and noise. Still we are in the very center of Paris. The staff is very friendly and service-minded. The rooms are small but with a nice atmosphere. There is free wifi. The breakfast is fine and the are space to enjoy it.

Dear Bo B, Thousand of thanks for taking time to write us your comments. We are very happy that you spent a nice stay with us and enjoyed our service. It is true our location is great (central and in a trendy area but quiet) and we have a very zen daylighted breakfast room overlooking our winter garden. Looking very... More

Just returned from a short stay in Paris at the Villa Beaumarchais. This hotel is full of old Parisienne charm and character, typical of bygone times when high standards were the norm, and cleanliness and politeness were very important. Our room on the 4th floor overlooked the courtyard, and was very quite overnight. Yes, the room was warm but the... More

We stayed four nights in this hotel. Charming staff, really nice breakfast buffet, and the room was well-maintained and cheerful. Interestingly, the walls had a light layer of foam beneath a cloth facing which I think contributed to a beautifully quiet stay. However, if it's hot, beware: The air conditioning did not provide cool air, and this was true for... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
