We stayed in an opera view room, which was spacious and well appointed. I liked being able to open the windows. There was both a nice tub and a stall shower. The lobby area is a great place for a drink - but expensive. You can take the number 42 bus directly to the hotel from the Gare du Nord.
This was disappointing from the start. I arrived a day after my husband at midday and had to wait 15 minutes to check in to get the key card whilst checking out guests were called to front of queue. Only two staff on reception desk but tons of flunkies in entrance hall doing nothing. Small room with the smallest double...

We stayed 6 nights starting April 5, 2012. This was the best hotel stay of any hotel ever. It is truly a 5 star, with incredible public spaces. I am an Ambassador with Ichotels, you should join if you havent already. We were only paying for 1 room out of 6, using free rooms for the rest. The front desk...

No matter what you need, the satff will always be happy to help you and this is the main difference between this hotel and other similar ones in Paris. The location is unbeatable near the Opera and one of the main shopping areas, the rooms and comfortable and well equipped, the hotel facilities include everything any guest would need and...

This is expensive, but very French and well located. We had a package including breakfast and it was served every day in Cafe de la Paix. It was just great. Had dinner there on one of our 7 nights too and I can recommend that. Location is good. Like lots of city hotels I dislike being ripped off for Internet...

The Grand is hard to beat if your destination is Opera Garnier just across it. We had an Opera View room, number 3136, with a comfy king size bed and a bathroom with tub and separate shower. The only inconvenience was that our room was far from the elevator. Check-in and out procedures went smoothly.
I got the room with my hotel points and while the room was nice, it was super small. No appreciation for being a platinum member and no free internet. Also, no access to the club lounge which is usually given to platinum members. Other than that, yes, it is a nice hotel but as one would expect.
If you are looking for a high end hotel in a great location in Paris, book at the Le Grand. Stayed on the Club level with great food in the club room for breakfast and afternoon snacks/drinks and late night after dinner drinks. Superb service in all areas. Concierge was "world class". Helpful in every way.

Exceptional location and a beautiful hotel. The rooms are large and the bathrooms very nice. Breakfast is terrific too. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but we did have a light dinner in the lobby bar area. It was an excellent hamburger. Expensive but excellent. The location is terrific too.
