Putting aside the questionable star rating and the tiny room and the noisy neighbours on the same floor (when were eventually arrested...) and the tired dilapidated decor, and the grubby bathroom, and poor bar, and poor AC and poor wifi and, and and +++. So the hotel is not brilliant, I would not go back at my business price point... More

For 3 stars and even 2, this would have been a perfect hotel. 4 stars is a big time stretch. The reception service was good, especially the young lady who spoke French, English, Spanish, Russian and Armenian. Rooms are tiny. WiFi is free.

The hotel is in a great location for both shopping and sightseeing, making the price all the more amazing. There's a couple of restaurants just across the road that are open until late - brilliant if you arrive late evening as we did. There's also a mini supermarket a few doors along - we stocked up on wine and beers... More

Simple, clean, friendly and very well situated near the Opera and all the action. We loved it. Modern and well decorated. All kinds of friendly and delicious restaurants at arms reach. We enjoyed shopping at the Galerie Lafayette Gourmet for our Wine and snacks.

Beautiful little boutique hotel close to everything. Walking distance of all the main sights, shopping and restaurants a plenty. Our room was lovely and clean and light. There was a lovely bathroom with decent size towels. Downstairs there is a bar area and restaurant. Room service is also available. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here... More

I love staying in this hotel, it is so well located for walking around Paris. The staff are excellent always pleasant and willing to help. Rooms are very clean and breakfast is fantastic. Plenty of small local restaurants and bars in the locality if you do not want to wander far.

This a 4 star hotel that is overrated as far as amenities and room quality but is an excellent choice judging from its location. Although centrally located it is a quiet , safe hotel. Excellent public transportation connections. Ideal for shopping. The rooms need renovation . Note that the size of the room is as expectected for Paris , typically... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
