The best thing about this hotel is its location: within walking distance from Notre Dame and the Marais, and near several major Metro hubs. The building is old. There is no lobby. The elevator barely fits two people without luggage. The furnature in the room was old as well. But within those limitations - the staff was helpful, the air... More

Hotel was in an excellent location in central Paris in Marais neighborhood. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant (and bilingual). This is an older establishment; rooms were certainly adequate, although a bit small by US standards (this is to be expected in Paris). We stayed in both the regular and superior rooms. The superior rooms had plenty of space, nice decor,... More

Great location Nice and helpful staff Did not try the breakfast Room is clean , quit small but enough. It is a little bit too hot inside but when asking the reception guy to change the AC mode (it was written not to touch..) it was much better. Elevator is small but, again, enough. I reccomend

The perfect location, the perfect room, the perfect service. Our room had a street view, well a busy street, but we were on vacation, and the noise didn't bother us a bit, just close the window. Don't expect a 5 star room or Hotel, but a simple nice place to stay and relax at night after walking through Paris. This... More

The hotel staff were very helpful, the room was decorated beautifully with period furniture. It is an old apartment, but, maintained well. The Louvre museum is around 10 minutes walk from the hotel. While the price seemed a bit high for the hotel, you would pay that for the location. Rue de Rivoli itself is a really nice road, with... More

This hotel is in very poor condition. Décor is out of date and carpets are dirty. Bathroom had wash basis and toilet as well as a shower that required navigating around the toilet. Welcome tray had two disposable cups, two teabags, two sachets of coffee, two sachets of milk and two packets containing two sugar lumps.

This three star hotel is located near the main museums, Centre Pompidou, Louvre, Pantheon, all within walking distance. The rooms are small but very decent. Good bed. Small but good bathroom. Breakfast is not included in the price, but you should consider taking it, since there is a large choice: French breads, cheese, meat, yogurt and cereals, fruit juices, eggs,... More

Yes the rooms are small but not claustrophobic. Baths good size. We booked due to location of the louvre and we're not disappointed. Is this a 5 star hotel, no but staff friendly and extremely helpful, breakfast was good and loved the room it was served in. They have a computer for guests with use of printer which was helpful... I recommand this hotel in Paris. I know very well the standard and services in the hotels in Paris and this one is one of the good ones. Rooms are clean, but yes, like in every Paris hotel, rooms are small.I take always one double room only for myself because the room for 1 person is too little for me:)If... More

My favourable review is very much influenced by the hotel's excellent location, but otherwise the accommodation was consistent with TripAdvisor reviews. Some reviewers complain about the cost and the size of the rooms, but that's what any experienced traveller should expect in the centre of Paris. I have recommended it to friends and would stay there again.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
