I checked in later the day I arrived I was given room 22 when I got to the room the door was propped open room had a very strong odor of mold and they could not change my room till the next day. Next morning they changed my room to room 45 was probably considered an upgrade as it had... More

The room we had must be the last one waiting to be renovated on the third floor. It was very squishy but the bedding was pristine every day, we were not happy with the bathroom as it needs renovating and the shower curtain needs to go. The breakfast room was nice and tidy and the breakfast range was good. Having... More

Wouldn't class as 3* ! Husband booked this hotel as rooms looked quite spacious . We had upgraded to a superior room which was quite small ! Not enough wardrobe space ! In saying this the rooms were very clean and tidy as were bathrooms ! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and it is situated quite nicely... More

Our original booking for a hotel in Paris was cancelled (why we have still not found out) while we were travelling in Italy and we had an emergency finding accommodation at the last minute. With little time we found availibilty at France Louvre and although the price semd high, the location was great. On arrival we were shocked at the... More

I decided to book a room to this hotel because of proximity. When I got there, although I booked a double/twin room with single occupancy, they wanted to give me a single room which I refused. After arguing my case they decided to give me a superior room with an extra charge as they did not have anymore double which... More

This hotel is a poor choice for a family. It is a 1 to 2 star motel (not hotel) by US standards. Pros: The hotel staff are very polite and helpful, they agreed to refund after we decided to change hotels and they responded twice to an inquiry about a lost item. It is walking distance to Notre Dame. The... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location: within walking distance from Notre Dame and the Marais, and near several major Metro hubs. The building is old. There is no lobby. The elevator barely fits two people without luggage. The furnature in the room was old as well. But within those limitations - the staff was helpful, the air... More

Hotel was in an excellent location in central Paris in Marais neighborhood. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant (and bilingual). This is an older establishment; rooms were certainly adequate, although a bit small by US standards (this is to be expected in Paris). We stayed in both the regular and superior rooms. The superior rooms had plenty of space, nice decor,... More

Great location Nice and helpful staff Did not try the breakfast Room is clean , quit small but enough. It is a little bit too hot inside but when asking the reception guy to change the AC mode (it was written not to touch..) it was much better. Elevator is small but, again, enough. I reccomend

The perfect location, the perfect room, the perfect service. Our room had a street view, well a busy street, but we were on vacation, and the noise didn't bother us a bit, just close the window. Don't expect a 5 star room or Hotel, but a simple nice place to stay and relax at night after walking through Paris. This... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
