My wife and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary with a trip to Europe and wanted to enjoy European boutique hotels on our journey through Europe. We are so glad we selected the Au Manoir St. Germain on the left bank! It has an excellent location close to many major stopping points for the city, as well as short walks to... More

I cannot say enough about this small gem of a hotel in Saint Germain des Pres. We always stay here - in the same room overlooking the Boulevard. In the morning, we relax over a delightful breakfast served in the elegant garden room before heading off to visit all that is to be enjoyed in Paris. We always appreciate having... More

Superb location - 5 minute stroll to Notre Dame and the incomparable Sainte Chapelle. 10 minutes to the Louvre. Opposite Les Deux Magots for classic petit dejeuner in a real French district with excellent mix of local and international shops. Room comfortable with bath and shower (a little bijou). Staff friendly and appreciative of support after recent events. Will stay... More

A nice and quiet hotel, but typical of Paris, the room and bathroom were small. We stayed in room 603, which was apparently not the biggest available, but it did have a terrace which was great for us as smokers. They do also have smoking rooms available. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and the staff were friendly. Great location!

I stayed here for 4 nights while waiting for my husband to return after attending his father's funeral. On Blvd St. Germain opposite Café de Flore, Les Deux Margots and L'Eglise de St. Germain. With a 10 mins. walk down Rue Bonaparte to Jardins de Luxembourg and 5 mins. to the river. Metro is 2 mins. away and St. Sulpice... More

My wife and I ended our first trip to Europe with three days in Paris. We found the Au Manoir Saint Germain comfortable, reasonably priced and a good location. It is a small hotel, we were on the third floor overlooking the street, with a flower box outside our window. We looked out at the Cafe de Flore and the... More

Located on the busy Boulevard Saint Germain, this hotel offers a quiet respite from all of the activities outside. The rooms were very spacious by Paris standards and the cheerful staff was extremely attentive and happy to solve even the slightest of problems. The room was clean and very well-appointed. The breakfast area was very charming. I have only the... More

We chose this hotel as it was classified as a boutique hotel and central location. It did not disappoint. The curtains and wall-covering co-ordinated and matched all other furnishings. Very clean except for the cushion on the bed, which had stains on it. The breakfast room included a "conservatory" type area which we enjoyed sitting in the first morning but... More

We stayed here for one week while on our honeymoon. The room was very nice, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent. The hotel provided a small guidebook with step by step instructions on how to get to main attractions. They also arranged transportation to and from the airport for us. The famous Deux Magots... My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel for four nights in late October 2015. It is ideally located, the rooms are very clean and well appointed, staff are extremely helpful and breakfasts are good, we will happily return if visiting Paris again.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
