We spent a week in 402 overlooking the Saint Germain Boulevard and its famous Cafes. Our room was lovely, complete with hot towel rails, coffee making facilities, and chocolates on the pillows. So close to all the major sites, and the Metro close by. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was lovely to arrive back after sightseeing, shower... More

The Hotel was ideally situated and within walking distance of many of Paris's sights. The room, overlooking the street, was surprisingly quiet for a city. It was clean, nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and there were some nice luxurious touches, such as slippers and towelling dressing gowns. The bathroom, although small, had a nice big bath and powerful shower.... More

We spent a weekend in Paris in January with our daughter and stayed in a triple room here. Nothing fancy but clean, comfortable, good size room. Perfect location for sightseeing and shopping in Paris. We walked everywhere. Very helpful staff. Highly recommend for anyone.

Can't get better than this. This quaint hotel on Saint-Germain des Pres is right across the famous Deux Magots,Cafe de Flore and right next to the famous Brasserie Lipp facing the church of Saint Germain des Pres. Sure you can get bigger nicer hotels and pay a fortune but this hotel met all our needs. There were 5 of us... More

Located within easy reach of the main attractions and opposite a couple of good Parisienne street cafes where you can enjoy the winter sun on your face and a kick-start espresso. This hotel offers an affordable base from which to see Paris in December. Typical french decor, a little outdated perhaps but comfortable, characterise the hotel and the rooms. Modernised bathrooms... More

We stayed here for 4 nights the end of September. We picked this hotel based on the reviews here on TA. Being our first trip to Paris, we don't have a lot to compare it to, however, we did not feel it lived up to the reviews we had read. The location is good, fairly close to many things, but... More

This hotel is well situated right in the middle of Saint Germain close to all nice cafes , restaurants and shops within a walking distance. The staff is helpful and kind. The rooms are unfortunately small but nicely decorated.

We spent six nights at the Au Manoir Saint Germain des Pres and would heartily recommend it to anyone who wishes to be very centrally located in a very clean and comfortable hotel which is across the street from the St. Germain des Pres Metro station! Our room was on the sixth floor and was comfortable and fairly roomy. The... More

Fantastic hotel in a great location right near St Germain De Pris. Easy walking distance to many of the main tourist sites of Paris and a stones throw from st great restaurants and bars. Hotel was immaculately clean, our double room was huge (quite strange for Paris). Bathroom was compact but not tiny. The bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable. The hotel... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
