This charming boutique hotel is in the heart of Paris - just a short walk to the Seine, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Blvd St. Germain and the Metro. Surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants, the Hotel Left Bank is quaint and lovely. The rooms are not large, but they are well appointed; the bathrooms are very modern and clean.... More

This was the perfect hotel for us - we are out and about most of the time. The staff was helpful and nice. The rooms are not large but they are perfectly adequate and well laid out. The rooms are clean and nicely kept. The breakfast is nothing fantastic, but you can grab a quick serviceable bite there if you... More

Elegant, small boutique-like hotel in my favorite part of Paris. Don't be put off by the Best Western name. This is NOT like the Best Western hotels I've seen in the U.S. Next door to the historical Le Procope, the location amidst cafes and the beautiful St. Germain shopping street makes it a perfect place for me. The staff were... More

This was such a cute hotel in a traditional building on a quaint street. Little, cozy, well appointed rooms in the left bank. Walk to Note Dame, walk to the Louvre, dozens of restaurants and shops. One short metro ride to Gare du Nord, the Thalys stop. Walk to St Michel train station to catch train to Versailles. Staff was... More

We preferred the hotel mostly because of the location as we wanted to stay in the Saint Germain area. Very elegant neighborhood with the likes of St. Michel, Notre-Dame, Jardin du Luxembourg just a short walk away. Very nice restaurants and cafes(Cafe de Flore, Les Deux Magots etc.) very closeby. Right near the Odeon metro, just 1 minute of walking.... More

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect; steps away from the Boulevard St.Germain for shopping as well as tons of restaurants and public transportation. The rooms were small but very well appointed with modern bathrooms but old world charm. The only negative was while they provided shampoo, they did not provide conditioner. Breakfast was provided with the room and... More

The hotel is within walking distance of about 70% of everything you probably want to see or do in Paris. For that reason alone it's worth considering. In all other respects the hotel is adequate. Staff was friendly and responsive. Rooms were clean but small. So long as you are not expecting a luxury hotel, the Best Western Left Bank... More

Beautiful hotel in a very trendy area of the city. Lots of restaurants, shops and very nice streets to walk around. The Metro stop is just a 3 minute walk away, where you can connect to anywhere in the city. Good location. We had a family room with a double bed and two single beds. The room is a bit... More

This hotel, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, is affiliated with Best Western, and as I have said before, I generally don’t review chain properties unless they deviate significantly from what I would expect from them, given their “brand name.” It was the case here: quaint little place, with small but absolutely beautiful rooms, and a very personal service. Not at... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
