Great accommodation, clean, comfortable. Located well, handy to metro and buses. Short walk to Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triophe. Hotel staff very helpful. Great breakfast. Loved the restaurants in the area.

The breakfast was so over the top, all personnel friendly and English speaking, close to 2 metro stations. You can walk to Arc de Triompe and Champ de Elyese; must have upgraded the wifi as our connections were great.

A few things I didn't like: 1. No free water refill bottles after day of arrival to hotel - why should I pay for a basic necessity and the Vittel water in fridge should be free if you are not going to provide that. 2. Some of staff at reception didn't speak to me in English so got very confused.... More

As every other hotel in central Paris this is expensive with a capital E but the breakfast is good. And as with most of the hotels in Paris this is old, a little worn out and with rooms in the smaller end. Very small end I would say. 117 French channels on the TV set, a couple of international, but... More

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. The hotel and rooms are all kept very clean and it is in a very good location. However, it does have some flaws; (1) the WIFI is terrible to the extent you cannot use it (2) the breakfasts need some improvement (a better range is required and less tinned food)... More

Very clean, though a bit musty. Tough for someone with bronchial issues. But overall - Fabulous location! We walked almost everywhere, and when we didn't have time to walk, the Metro was close to the hotel.

A fair priced place in a great location. The room was clean and for the most part quiet. We would stay here again. The downside will not surprise anyone with travel experience in a major tourist location such as Paris. The elevator was frequently broken, the front desk somewhat dismissive/uncaring. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel seemed very underwhelming at first. Low-key lobby, with a very small elevator, especially with luggage. Room was average, but I've come to realize that it was alright by Paris-standards. Provides basic necessities, and the toilet and shower were located at opposite ends of a hallway within my room. The best part of this hotel is the location. It... More

We stayed at the Hotel Victor Hugo for six days and would highly recommend it. We didn't have a great view and the room is small and a little mildewy, but that said, it was clean, well appointed, had a beautiful marble bathroom with huge towels, an exceptional breakfast, friendly staff and is in a great area, within walking distance... Stayed at the Victor Hugo for a week. Room was extremely clean, nice breakfast choices and friendly staff. Two women travelling alone we felt extremely safe. Convienant grocery store nearby. We used the mini bar fridge to store a few things. Our room was ready early and that was a nice touch after a long flight. Would definitely recommend. Wifi... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
