This is a very nice hotel for the money paid. Rooms are small but it works. The toilet is in a room of its own separated from sink and shower. This works well since there were 3 of us sharing this room. The bedding is updated and clean looking. In Europe you could even consider this a 4 star but... More

Overall I constantly travel for work and am in hotels 4-5 nights a week clocking up over 200 room nights last year. I have stayed Victor Hugo twice because my other choices were not available. The first time The hotel was under renovation when I stayed and we had to go to another hotel for breakfast 3 blocks away. The... More

Stayed here last week with my family - great location and very comfortable although a little small. Our Sons had a great view of the tower and we could see the top over the roof tops. Breakfast was €19 per head which is a little expensive but it was good. There was an issue with the booking from ebookers and... More

We stayed here for the Valentines weekend. First impression of the hotel was good. Our room which was on the sixth floor over looking Rue Coppernic was a little dark and small. The decorations were nice but it felt like we were staying in someone's attic. But the main thing was it was spotless. The safe was free but the... More

Stayed at this hotel in February 2015. The location was convenient as the nearest metro station is at 5 minute walk and Champs-Elysees street (Arc de Triomphe) is within walkable distance. The hotel is clean as well and the staff is friendly. Rooms in the hotel (at least single) are really small. Free space in the room is limited and... More

I stayed in the Victor Hugo hotel for two nights during my business trip in Paris recently. Although VH was a basic hotel but I thought the hotel was good, clean and service was quite attentive. Stayed at the Victor Hugo on a business trip. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distances of the tower on one end and the arc on the other. Everything that makes Paris a luxurious destination is just right outside of this adorable hotel. We were in our room about as long as it took to enjoy a sound night's sleep, utilize the powder room, change our clothes, and off we went to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, transportation to the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and other destinations... Had a relatively good stay until I checked out. The man at the reception (who informed me he was new) charged me 70 euros to leave the hotel without providing me a receipt. Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
