This hotel seemed very underwhelming at first. Low-key lobby, with a very small elevator, especially with luggage. Room was average, but I've come to realize that it was alright by Paris-standards. Provides basic necessities, and the toilet and shower were located at opposite ends of a hallway within my room. The best part of this hotel is the location. It... More

We stayed at the Hotel Victor Hugo for six days and would highly recommend it. We didn't have a great view and the room is small and a little mildewy, but that said, it was clean, well appointed, had a beautiful marble bathroom with huge towels, an exceptional breakfast, friendly staff and is in a great area, within walking distance... Stayed at the Victor Hugo for a week. Room was extremely clean, nice breakfast choices and friendly staff. Two women travelling alone we felt extremely safe. Convienant grocery store nearby. We used the mini bar fridge to store a few things. Our room was ready early and that was a nice touch after a long flight. Would definitely recommend. Wifi... More

Great location. Rooms are a bit small but was very adequate for a weekend city break. Breakfast was very good, bit of a small eating area. You will need to get down to breakfast early. We went down at 8.30 which was fine an hour later was very busy. The reception man in the day could not of been more... More

Hotel is well situated only 10 minutes to the Arc an Eiffel. In a quiet back street and located close to a metro station and a short walk to a couple of great bars / cafes & restaurants. Rooms are of a decent size, with a strange layout due to the old buildings in that area. Room was clean, TV... More

The hotel is nice and clean, if you have taken breakfast as an option, you will be delighted with the menu the share. However one of the most important factor being in Paris is to explore the city and when you have Hotel nearby the tourist locations, it makes life very easy. I was on a Business trip and was... We arrived in Paris after having issues with flights not connecting at midnight. By the time we arrived at our accomodation it was after 1. Our booking had a swipe key entry which we did not have, luckily after awhile someone came out of the building and let us in. Alas no key under the mat. Looked until 2.30 tried... More

This is a very nice hotel for the money paid. Rooms are small but it works. The toilet is in a room of its own separated from sink and shower. This works well since there were 3 of us sharing this room. The bedding is updated and clean looking. In Europe you could even consider this a 4 star but... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
