We arrived on a very rainy morning, much ahead of our check-in time. However, we received a very warm welcome by reception staff and were escorted to our room on 1st floor. Some rooms were under redecoration, which created some noise. But later it turned out to be meaningless as we spent most of sunlight outside the hotel. Rooms are... more

Just back from running the Paris Marathon and stayed at the hotel after my wife picked up a card from the reception on a previous visit. Firstly, location wise it is faultless, right next to a metro stop and there are a couple of nice brasseries literally a 30 sec walk from the front door of reception. Our first main... more

Great little hotel about 50m from metro stop. The room I had was quite small but really nicely furnished and very modern design. My friend was staying there too and we both had completely different styles in our rooms which added to the charm. Breakfast is nothing special but the people were friendly. I would recommend the Courcelle Etoile without... more

We stayed in Room 243 and it wasn't remodeled. The carpets were filthy, there was a large amount of dirt on the walls, and a big hole in one of the lampshades. The security lock on the door was broken. This room was only missing a homeless person. Hotel breakfast was overpriced. For a better deal, boulangerie nearby as well... more

We chose this hotel via a travel agents homepage and also read the reviews on the tripadvisor. The person at the reception desk gave us a nice welcome. The rooms are small but cosy and all newly styled, the bathroom was a specially nice (very stylish and compared to the room quite huge). We had one of the most quiet... more

Our first trip to Paris. First reaction was that the room was small (like the elevator), but we loved the city so much, soon that didn't matter. The hotel was clean (although the carpet could use a shampoo) and very convienient to the Metro (which is a great deal). Based on the drawings, it looked like our bathroom was bigger... more

Spent two nights there in October 2005, which was a year ago. The first night, we were given a standard double, 2nd floor, on the front of the hotel. Well, everyone knows that Paris is not exactly a pedestrian zone. But the hotel claimed that it was acoustically isolated. It isn't. Could not close an eye the first night. I... more

This boutique hotel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were smallish but contained all that you need. The Deluxe room with the jacuzzi tub was a welcome relief after a day spent walking through Paris. The staff (as were all Parisians) was very welcoming and generous with personal recommendations for things to see and experience. There is no early check... more

July 22nd - July 26th 2004 We enjoyed our stay at the Etoile Courcelles. The hotel was under going some construction on the front side so it was very noisy along with traffic noise. We moved to the other side of the hotel and it was much better. The showers did not have curtains, which was a little bothersome and... more

I was booked into this hotel as part of a discount travel package to Paris on Eurostar. It appears that most of their business comes from such packages. The hotel is advertised as a three star hotel. While the room was small, the full bathroom had been remodeled and updated with new fixtures. And how much time do you want... more
