Arriving one day late, thanks United air, we stayed here for 4 nights. Our room had a double and fold-out sofa bed. I think they must cater to Americans because the front desk staff all speak very good English. The room was clean and somewhat larger than we are typically used to in Paris. The décor is well ... Stayed at this beautifully appointed gem for a fantastic weekend, with wonderfully helpful staff and within walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame and surrounded by great places to eat! Will stay here again!

We appreciated the super nice staff. We enjoyed the old world feel. Our family booked three different rooms here. The rooms were tiny. We loved our tiny balcony. We recognize that when in the heart of the city the rooms will be smaller than a bit outside. We loved being centrally located and the staff helped us navigate around by... More

We thought the location was ideal. We were steps from the Louve and Notre Dame. The hotel offered a large reasonably priced breakfast that was varied enough for even the pickiest eater. In addition, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended many local restaurants and searched out ones for our gluten free eater.

Hotel Britannique was exactly what my husband and I wanted in a hotel for our first visit to Paris! The hotel definitely has a European flair with the tiny elevator, spiral staircase, and small rooms. What our room lacked in floor space was easily made up by the modern bathroom with a large shower and the large closet with plenty... More

I brought my nephew to Paris for his first visit & wanted him to experience staying at the Hotel Britannique. This is my favorite area in Paris. I travel internationally with my job. I often stay in large hotels, but I prefer the special touch of boutique hotels even though they are typically smaller. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are... More

My mom found us this adorable hotel in the center of Paris - just between the right and left bank. The location cannot be beat! The hotel itself was small but charming with romantic decor that felt a bit Moulin Rouge ;) WHAT I LOVED: Location, location location and decor of the room was well done. MORE ... The rooms... More

How unlikely there is such a quiet and elegant hotel so close to the action in downtown Paris, but it's true. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the room was perfect. Ile de la Cite is just a few minutes walk away and Metro station Chatelet is less than a block away. It could not have been more perfect!

I visited as a solo traveler twice in May 2015. I also had visited briefly in 2009. This small hotel is perfectly located near the Chatelet Metro and regional train station (which has several entrances as other reviewers have noted). There are two entrances to the train station less than one block away, though once you get inside you may... More

This Hotel offers great value. A few steps from Pont St. Michel & Ile de la Cite, it sits at edge of the Marais. Room was typically small but nicely appointed w/plenty of storage. Shower was great, lighting adequate and bed comfy. Windows overlooked the street, opened easily for good ventilation & a European feel. Staff could not have been... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
