We stayed here for 4nights,Couldn,t fault location, close to main attractions, the attractions that were further away were still within reach via whatever transport you choose, but would recommend water taxi, which costs roughly 13euros for the day,get on and off where you want, well worth it,or the underground for just a couple of euros you can go far, both within walking distance. If you want... More

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Britannique in mid-September, during a late-summer heatwave. Temperatures reached the low 80s F each day, and it was quite humid, as well, so the ability to refresh ourselves once or twice a day and get a comfortable nights' sleep was important. The Hotel Britannique scored well on all counts! Our room was... More

We spent a wonderful time in Paris with my wife and chose to stay at hotel Britannique. It is the ideal choice for us both for its location and the service of the hotel. Our room was lovely and quite comfortable for us. We enjoyed a relaxing sleep in a very nice and soft bed. Overall this was a good... More

We went for a holiday to Paris during a business trip and picked this hotel for location and from reviews. It certainly lives up to the small reputation of Paris, but in fact the rooms were more reasonable than others I've seen. We went when the elevator was being repaired and certainly got fitter staying on the 5th floor! Certainly... More

Literally happened upon this place. Needed a hotel between two train stops and had my driver drop me off on the street. Asked a couple of nicely dressed folk of a good place to stay, and they pointed to this place and said "I understand that they are usually sold out." Went in, they happened to have a cancellation, and... More

I stayed only two nights at the Hotel Britannique, and loved it. The room was perfectly sized for me (single woman), had hot water, a hair dryer, the plushest bathrobes, and was just generally very pleasant. My view left something to be desired (right next to a neighborhing building) but I didn't spend much time looking out the window, so... More

Ive been to Paris three times and stayed at various hotels in the city, however Hotel Britannique exceeded all of my expectations and I can confidently say I will keep coming back. Fantastic location. The hotel is situated only 2-3 minutes from Chatalet metro which is very well connected to the rest of Paris. Small room but has everything you... More

Hotel Britannique has it all: location , service, charm, and reasonable prices for Paris standards. Wonderful super confortable beds, great helpful staff ( specially Alexandra). Recieved us with red roses, a box of chocolates and a bowl of fresh fruit for my moms b day. 5 times in Paris, last two at the Britannique. Won't stay anywhere else.

This hotel has the most perfect location! It is central to everything. Just short walks to the Marais, Notre Dame, The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and many more sights. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is comfortable and clean. This is unbeatable value!

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
