We stayed for four nights and loved our room. We were given a room on the 2nd floor (3rd actually) with a small balcony overlooking the street. It was nice to open up the doors to the balcony and look out on the street. It was noisy sometimes, but that's just another way to experience a city. The bed was... More

The web offer and location is what attracted us to stay here. Absolutely no regrets, near the Metro and RER to reach just about any where you want in paris and beyond. As others have mentioned, a quaint hotel with the elevator is barely enough for 2 plus luggage and the rooms are barely bigger than the bed. However, the... More

The hotel looked like it came from an old french film. Awesome! The staff was very nice and helpful (which was pretty surprising since most of the hotels we checked and stayed in before were all grumpy and didnt seem to want to be bothered) The ac got busted with a leak, but they did their best to fix the... This delightful, small boutique hotel is located near the Seine, Notre Dame, Lourve, metro and so many eateries & a great pastry shop around the corner. Friendly Staff all spoke English. They arranged a car to pick us up at the airport at my request. It was very easy to get around on foot & we felt safer here than... More

First of all - after reading many Tripadvisor reviews - no one should be surprised by the size of the elevator. Yes, it is very small. Two people just fit but make two trips with your luggage and enjoy Paris. The location of the hotel is one block to the Siene. Continue over the bridge and you are at St.... More

Spent 4 nights here with my daughter. I'm going to start with the three best things: (1) The staff. Every person behind the desk is friendly and helpful, speaks good English, and is willing to tolerate those of us who speak what French we can and then code-switch into English when words do not come to mind. They did us... More

We visited the city for just a couple of nights and found the Hotel Britannique based on a friend's recommendation. The location is great for walking to everywhere. Room is well appointed and very quiet. The staff was most helpful with directions and recommendations. We will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Britannique and it was just as wonderful as the first visit! My husband was in town for business and I came along for pleasure. We arrived early, but the hotel stored our luggage while we got a bite to eat and they called us as soon as the room was ready. The... More

We stayed at the Hotel Britannique last week for five nights. It is a lovely little hotel, about one-half mile east of the Louvre and a block from the Seine. The location is great--we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to see or take the Metro from the nearby station. The rooms are small but... More

Stayed in Hotel britannique this May, and I could not be more satisfied. The rooms were a bit small but the staff more than made up for it. Particularly the receptionist. Requested for an early check-in as our flight arrived very early, and the hotel staff was so apologetic that the room was not ready, and instead she offered to... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
