4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Spent 4 nights here with my daughter. I'm going to start with the three best things: (1) The staff. Every person behind the desk is friendly and helpful, speaks good English, and is willing to tolerate those of us who speak what French we can and then code-switch into English when words do not come to mind. They did us... More

We visited the city for just a couple of nights and found the Hotel Britannique based on a friend's recommendation. The location is great for walking to everywhere. Room is well appointed and very quiet. The staff was most helpful with directions and recommendations. We will definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Britannique and it was just as wonderful as the first visit! My husband was in town for business and I came along for pleasure. We arrived early, but the hotel stored our luggage while we got a bite to eat and they called us as soon as the room was ready. The... More

We stayed at the Hotel Britannique last week for five nights. It is a lovely little hotel, about one-half mile east of the Louvre and a block from the Seine. The location is great--we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to see or take the Metro from the nearby station. The rooms are small but... More

Stayed in Hotel britannique this May, and I could not be more satisfied. The rooms were a bit small but the staff more than made up for it. Particularly the receptionist. Requested for an early check-in as our flight arrived very early, and the hotel staff was so apologetic that the room was not ready, and instead she offered to... More

The hotel is wonderful in every way. The staff could not be more accommodating, the rooms are very clean, breakfast each day was excellent. The location can't be beat. We felt so comfortable and safe at this property. After a horrible experience during our arrival with a less than honest taxi driver the staff at the hotel made arrangements with... More

I always stay in the Hotel Britannique when in Paris. There are three reasons: First, it is small and intimate, warm and cosy, with good facilities and clean rooms serviced daily, and it is secure. Second, it is conveniently located in Chatelet, the centre of the city (1er) and the hub of the Paris Metro system; which means you can... More

Full review here: http://theworldbyfaith.com/post/118193464169 Hotel Britannique was fantastic in every way - from the interiors, the service, the room, the fact that they offer free WiFi, and so on. It gives you your money's worth, as it is a fantastic place to go home to when in Paris; and at the same time, gets you to save on transportation given... More

It's difficult to add much to the many reviews from visitors charmed by this Hotel - we spent a short break here and found much to like and nothing really to complain about. Location is always important in Paris and that of the Britannique must be the envy of many larger, more expensive hotels. All the major attractions are accessible... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
