My husband and I stayed at Hotel Britannique for a week our Honeymoon. We were very pleased with the hotel. They even gave us a box of chocolates, a card, and flowers because we had notified them in advance that it was our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were helpful in guiding us to local restaurants... More

Located on quiet Rue Victoria, just a few streets from the Seina and Notre Dame, H. Britannique enjoys the best spot for for visitng Paris. However, the rooms are quite small, with hardly any walkjg space around the double room. Mine was supossedly foir double occupancy, but I do not see how a second person could have fit into that... Dear Guest, Thank you for comment. We are happy to know that you enjoyed our hotel's location and we are sorry to hear that you were less than satisfied with your stay at the hotel. We understand that our rooms and lift are rather small, due to this being an old historic Parisian building. Our prices can vary according to... More

We chose this hotel because of its central location. It's in the first arrondissement and we ended up just walking everywhere! Great location. Lots of food everywhere, shopping, museums and attractions. The metro (Chatelet) is just a minute walk away too. The lobby of the hotel is beautifully decorated and looks like something out of a Victorian movie. However, The... More

My stay at Hotel Britannique was extremely pleasant, the hotel is a bit old fashioned but that is intended. The service was always fast and professional and as it is right in the centre of Paris I could not think of a better place to stay. The moment you step outside you are right there, in walking distance of Notre... More

You can't beat the location of this hotel (in the very center of Paris close to everything and convenient access to the Metro Châtelet station), and the staff is friendly and extremely helpful! If you put in a room request, they will do what they can to honor your request. We ended up with a better room than we requested,... More

This was the perfect hotel for me and my mum when we visited Paris in March. Its walking distance to all of paris and very close to the metro if you are getting the Eurostar. The decor was very parisan and suited us perfectly would very much recommend.

This is a great location, right at the subway station that connects you to everywhere and also a great place to start walking around Paris from. The rooms are lovely and very clean. Although small, as most Paris hotel rooms are, it was perfectly set up with plenty of shelves and places to store everything. It is a quiet street,... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was a perfect start to our day and definitely worth the reasonable charge. The front desk staff is absolutely wonderful. Nothing would have been too much trouble for them. We were offered a warm friendly greeting each time we entered... More

We stayed here for 4nights,Couldn,t fault location, close to main attractions, the attractions that were further away were still within reach via whatever transport you choose, but would recommend water taxi, which costs roughly 13euros for the day,get on and off where you want, well worth it,or the underground for just a couple of euros you can go far, both within walking distance. If you want... More

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Britannique in mid-September, during a late-summer heatwave. Temperatures reached the low 80s F each day, and it was quite humid, as well, so the ability to refresh ourselves once or twice a day and get a comfortable nights' sleep was important. The Hotel Britannique scored well on all counts! Our room was... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
