I booked 4 nights hotel room a month before my trip to Paris, the hotel charged me the 1st day fee through my credit card right after I booked the room, and that's ok to me cause I have no intention to cancel the booking. The day me and my husband arrived to the hotel, a front dest officer told... more

This hotel is not bad, not fantastic. But it's in a pretty central location and the breakfast is good. The staff are VERY helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean and we felt safe and comfortable there. Nice, no frills, slightly above average hotel. I would recommend if on a budget. Rooms aren't huge, but I think that's normal... more

The Aulivia rooms are shabby and small, but clean, and the hotel is reliable. (The walls are indeed thin, but there are no bedbugs as a previous customer claimed.) As for the 10th arrondissement, it's not bad, it's just a working-class Indian, Turkish and African area. People are friendly and the guys hanging around the metro are just trying to... more

I stayed at this Hotel for Business twice to catch an early flight from Roissy CDG airport and a Eurostar train to London. First time, I found the location very convenient. I heard a guy on the phone from the room next to mine around 10PM and I found the soundproofing a bit poor but tolerable. Second time I planned... more

We stayed at this hotel a couple of years back, so my review isn't bang up to date. Suffice it to say that the area is a bit of a dump. As other contributors have mentioned, the nearest Metro station seems to be the hangout for the local young non-indigenous male population, and seems very iffy after dark. My other... more

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays. There were a few "characters" outside the metro exit occassionally, but we just ignored them. I suspect that we had less of a problem with this because of the cold weather....there may be more in the summer. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was courteous. There is a problem with noise... more

APPAULING: If you want to be insulted and treated like dirt (some people like that!) then this is THE PLACE. The staff are terrible. Rude, agressive, inefficient, unhelpful and insulting. The service was terrible, slow and again rude to the point where we had to laugh - Basil Faulty style all the way. Even the one member of staff who... more

No wonder there was a revolution in France....if the attitude of the staff at this hotel were anything to go by! A mix up with rooms meant a two hour wait to check in which was not welcome after a long journey. This hotel is reasonably priced. The area around the hotel was OK during the day but at night... more

My friend and I stayed here for 4 days in June 2005. We found a great rate on expedia.com ($100/night), so we booked it--mainly because we weren't familiar with Paris, and the hotel is fairly close to the trainstation we were arriving to from London. The hotel is *very* dated but clean. The walls are a tad thin, but I... more

In general, I found the hotel to be ok offering good value for money although the staff was utterly rude and unhelpful. The area was not the safest in Paris. The room itself was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was as well great. Be ware of the thin walls, since you might have to endure the sounds of... more
