I've stayed here many times over the years. It was looking a little jaded the last time but there is a full-scale refurbishment ongoing. The entire hotel is scaffolded, both on the street side and on the inside, although this did not infringe on our stay. When the work is completed I'm sure I won't be able to afford to... More

We are very satisfied with our stay in hotel Bergere Opera. It has a very good location, a few steps from Metro station Grand Boulvards and walking distance from Montmartre Area. At least four supermarkets in the neighberhood and a lot of restaurants as everywhere in Paris! Stuff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are 'used' but they live up... More

Just minutes away on foot to the Grands Boulevards metro station, a mini Carrefour, and a variety of restaurants, this hotel is conveniently located. First night there, my wife and I were given a small room on the very top floor and right next to the noisy elevator. The next day, we returned to our room in the early evening... More

The overall score review isn't very high, but I choose it because of the location. And I'm really good surprised! Perfect location center Paris. I had a very big room, especially for Paris, but I'm not sure that all rooms are so big. In the room there is a TV with many international channels( English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian,German) .... More

On the plus side the location is excellent, a lot of Paris is in a good walking distance and there is a metro stop nearby. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was OK. The place could really do with some renovation, the lobby looks good but everywhere is else looks fairly tired. On the second day of our trip the... More

I have stayed here in business on several occasions as it's cheap. I joke it's so bad it's chic! The hotel is perfectly located in the heat of the Opera area. However the decor is dated, the lifts scary and a general air of decay permeates the place. The staff are perfectly friendly but money needs spending on it. It... More

We visited Bergere hotel in late November for 4 days. We must admit that the employees are really kind and helpful, but the hotel is supposed to be a 3 star hotel and it's appearance does not really comply to that. Really tiny rooms, scratched wallpapers, very old fashioned bathrooms, destroyed chairs in the breakfast lounge. The breakfast was nice... More

Had to change rooms as the bathroom extractor couldn't be turned off. The second room wasn't much better although was bigger than the initial box room. Hotel is tatty and showing signs of tiredness. Room was clean in the accessible areas but extractors, curtains, ledges were grimy and soiled. Not somewhere I'd choose to stay again. Prefer the holiday inn... More

15-20 min walk from Le Louvre, lots of restaurants/cafes very close by and a 2 min walk from metro. Bit noisy overnight lift or something, but ear plugs fixed that. Wasn't too fussed about the breakfast and a fridge in room would be nice. Overall good place to stay and some very nice and helpful staff

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
