This hotel is very clean and appears to have been recently renovated. The marble bathroom is nice. The elevator is so tiny that we almost couldn't fit in it, we only had 2 small bags. The shower has a glass door that covers only 1/3 of the shower so we were confused by that. We will be back in Paris... More

Enjoyed my stay here, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room was always spotless. The location is great if you want to be able to walk around Paris and is also close to a metro station if you prefer not to walk! There is a range of cafes, restaurants and wine bars up and down the surrounding streets.... More

Very nice hotel on a pedestrian street filled with cafés, restaurants and food shops. Our room was very small but, hey, this is Paris! Bath was very modern, bed was comfortable, wifi worked well. We were on the second floor facing the courtyard so it was very quiet. Rooms facing the street might have a noise issue. The front desk... More

After checking into a horrible little hotel and hating it! I walked by the Hotel Victories Opera, loved the neighborhood with fresh fruit and veggie shops, all kinds of bakeries and restaurants surrounding and inquired of availability as a walk in. They were incredibly gracious and gave me an excellent and lovely room and amazingly at a very reasonable price,... More

I've stayed in this hotel for an entire month. I liked it a lot - it's a lovely charming hotel with friendly staff. However, the day after check-out, an amount of almost 100 euros was unreasonably debited from my credit card, including minibar items which I had never used. I've expressed my complaint by email several times, but received no... More

My boyfriend & I visited Paris specifically to go on our own food tour. We wanted to stay on a market street & being Rue Montorgueil in Les Halles seemed to be the best one, we chose Hotel Victoires Opera. After having read other reviews I knew not to expect a "real" 4-star hotel experience. That was correct. The hallways... More

Nice hotel in a very typical area of Paris packed with bars and restaurants of any kind. Just walk out and pick. Rooms are small but very clean. Bathroom was also very clean. If you're looking for big rooms you will never stay IN Paris but definitely OUTSIDE Paris so don't trust those who complain about small rooms. I had... More

we paid over $600 AUD for a stay at this hotel and boy did we regret it. we needed to print off some vouchers for day tours we had purchased prior to coming to Paris. We went down to reception and the man said he can print stuff off for us. Upon printing all he did was interrogate us as... More

Love the location of this hotel. Rue Montorgueil is charming both daytime and in the evenings. It feels like you are in the middle of a quaint residential area with a street that is closed to commercial traffic. The access to Metro is great and its a nice easy walk to many attractions.

I stayed at this hotel in March with two friends. We were delighted with the charm of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. The location is IDEAL! We were conveniently located near beautiful shops and restaurants as well as not far from the Eiffel Tower. My favorite spot nearby is Le Cafe (I know...cliche!) but they had the best... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
