This is a small hotel near the Natural History Museum. I noticed just before I went to catch the plane that the hotel needed to be informed of late arrival. I emailed and, to my surprise, received an almost instant reply to the effect that it wasn't a problem. On arrival, the reception staff were friendly, courteous and spoke sufficiently... More

I could be good if the manager was not a thief, this hotel is a shame for france. I was there for 3 nigths and it was the worst three night of my life, the room was dirty and the reception always busy.

My wife and I went to Paris for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We were not interested in a "fancy", "upscale" hotel, but a nice, quiet, clean, reasonably priced room in a good location for seeing the sights of Paris. This hotel fit all those criteria. We had a room on the fifth floor, with easy access to the... More

I am very surprised that this hotel has a 3 star rating - I think 2 stars would be more appropriate. The rooms are shabby and outdated. The bed wasn't great and the pillows were very lumpy. The bathroom was tiny and needed a good clean. Breakfast was okay, staff were friendly and the hotel is in a nice area

This seems to be a typical Paris hotel in the sense that the bedroom is small, the bathroom and separate toilet even smaller. The pillows are too thin. Reception service was good, and breakfast was fine. The nature of this type of hotel in a small building with tight corners and small rooms (especially mine, near lift) means it can... More

We honestly couldn't fault the location of this hotel, as it was our first trip to Paris we found the location great as was very close to a Metro and by foot you could just follow the seine. But the room was tiny and outdated, which wasn't that bad as we didn't spend a lot of time in it. The... More

We booked this hotel in September 2014 for three nights, it was overpriced for a three stars hotel according to the services provided and the level of cleanliness, the following observations were made: - The walls and carpet were very dirty. - The towels within the bathroom and all linens includes marked stains. - The iron board was very old... If you go to Paris, best to increase your budget. When it came to hotels, we didn't spend quite enough, which resulted in our sharing our room with numerous miniscule critters. The bathroom mold was also unpleasant. I would recommend the Latin Quarter as a location (close to metro, lots of restaurants, walkable to many sights), but would not recommend... More

I stayed two nights in this hotel. It is clear that this hotel is ideally situated to visit Paris and more particularly if you are interested by the "quartier latin". The staff is friendly and helpfull with a 24/24 open desk. The room have a correct size for Paris. However, few details: -corridors are narrow and the ground was covered... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
