We visited Paris and were looking for a hotel in the Latin Quarter and we lucked out when we decided on the Jardin de Cluny - the hotel is located on a quiet street close to the Sorbonne and with easy access to the major attractions in the city. We booked a superior room, ( room 406 ) and as... More

We recently spent three nights at this lovely, friendly hotel in Paris. Close to all major landmarks and very close to the activities around the left bank including competitive restaurants and the active nightlife. However the hotel was in a great location as the immediate surrounding areas were very quiet. Excellent location and friendly staff. Hoping to return very soon.... More

This is a great location near the Cluny Museum and easy access to the Metro and the Sorbonne. Hotel staff very attentive and the room was spotless. Bed was comfy and the hotel has an elevator. It is located just about one block from St, Germain, but in a quiet area.

This hotel was terrific. Andrea and the team were very hospitable and helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Wifi worked a treat too. The breakfast was extraordinary and terrific value. Terrific location close to everything. Our daughter got sick and we needed a GP in a hurry on a Saturday (peak). The Hotel staff (especially Andrea) went out... More

We stayed here 2 nights. This is our fourth Paris Hotel experience. The best so far as size of bed (king), bathroom (modern), street noise (low), politeness of staff (all long term employees) and pleasant breakfast room. It is also located in Arr. 5, convenient walking to Notre Dame, Cluny Museum and the wonderful café Le Pre Verre, where we... More

Reasonably priced and walking distance to so many things. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was nice, the rooms were fine. We would stay here again. We loved the location and being in the Latin District was great.

Nice hotel. Close to Notre Dame. Lots of things close by. Many places to eat within walking distance. Hotel staff very helpful. Clean. A little noisy as they put us next to the elevator but I guess someone has to stay in that room. Very good breakfast. Fresh and great breads and cheeses and cold cuts. Would stay again.

Me and my Daughter stayed at the "Garden" at a cheapest room. No soap, shampoo or lotion in a bathroom. The room was tiny, I have never saw anything like that in my life, and I've been around. The desk people are suck, Karina though is a big help. The breakfast was OK. Nice location.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
