My husband and I spent 4 nights at Le Jardin de Cluny this month and we were quite pleased with this small hotel. This is one of the few hotels in Paris we found that is completely nonsmoking. It's on a quiet street that's a short walk from Notre Dame Cathedral, Seine River, Cluny Museum, various shops and several good... More

Wonderful staff, nice room, good location close to subway, but very hard mattress if you don't have a great back. Mattresses are on a wooden platform--no box springs. Could not get a refund to find another hotel. Very quiet, good internet.

The hotel is centrally located on a small street with little traffic. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast has the essentials and is fresh. No gym so the walking in Paris has to do that job for you.The staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a clean hotel in a wonderful location. I stayed for four nights with three American baby-boomers, and they seemed to enjoy it. It's a tiny place with small rooms, but it's clean and close to the tourist district and recently renovated, so I can't complain. We didn't try the breakfast but there are plenty of nearby restaurants to... More

Very good for the price I paid. Newly remodeled room. Great location. If you have a car to park, you will need to park at almost 0.5 km from the hotel, but it is not much different than any hotels in Paris.

We had a last minute change to our plans and couldn't check into our apartment when we arrived in Paris, so we had to find a hotel. Knowing how tiny the European rooms are, and the fact we required a baby cot in the room, I opted for a junior suite and booked directly on their site. We received breakfast... More

Well-located small hotel on a surprisingly quiet street close to the River Seine and Notre Dame. Walking distance to many other attractions. Close to Metro and waterbus stop. Small double room but clean and comfortable. Very slight niggles with slow wi-fi and the fact that air-conditioning is seasonal. Didn't pay for breakfast as the hotel is close to choice of... More

A beautiful little hotel in a perfect location just a few blocks from the Siene River and Notre Dame Cathedral. A few blocks in any direction leads to food, shopping and incredible nightlife but the hotel itself is on an incredibly quiet street. There's a huge selection of pubs, cafe's and restaurants and shopping all within a few blocks. Hotel... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
