Second time in Paris, first time in a Best Western. This hotel was clean, cozy and the front desk employees were upbeat, helpful and kind. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in at a hotel. I would stay here again.

Excellent value. A clean, well-appointed room, friendly and helpful front-desk service, convenient location, drama-free checkin and checkout. Slippers, fluffy towels and nice glassware. Adequate Wi-Fi. The bedroom was small by U.S. standards, but the layout and built-in furniture were well-designed for the limited space. The bathroom was spacious and superior in every way, except that it could have used a... More

My husband and I stayed here for our second trip to Paris. We knew we wanted to stay in the Latin Quarter/St Germain area and stumbled across this hotel when we realised the last hotel we stayed at was booked out. Turned out this was the best decision we made! We were booked in for 10 nights, and straight away... More

My company reserves this hotel for its employees when an exhibition takes place in Paris, therefore I have been here several times. The hotel is good - in my opinion pros are silent rooms and friendly staff at the reception who speaks good English, finally position is excellent: at a walking distance from Notre Dame and from Latin N'hood. Contras are... More

I'm still yet to find a decent hotel in Paris without paying minimum £200/night and although this hotel was generally good, it didn't quite meet my expectations. We paid £140/night for a superior room. Perhaps I am being unfair given the budget but I expected a little more. For example, there was no vanity kit which I would expect at... More

The location of Best Western Le Jardin de Cluny is perfect if you want to experience true Parisian life. Located in the 6th arrondissement, the hotel is just behind the famous St. Germain des pres. The hotel’s street, Rue du Sommerard, is very quiet and we had a restful sleep even though our room was facing the street. Our room... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
