This hotel is located just 2 minutes walk from the metro station. And even though it is close to the noisy street, Rue Vaneau is quiet at night and one can sleep with an open window. Staff are friendly and helpful and there are great brasseries nearby for dinner. My room was relatively big with a big bathroom and a... More

First time in Paris, and I absolutely loved the property. Within the neighborhood alone, one can live, work and play with multiple metro stations within a 10 minute walk away (one less than a block away), Carrefour grocery store literally across the street, Le Bon Marche and Grande Epicerie only a few blocks down, with other retail nearby. Room was... More

We stayed for two nights - the staff were friendly and helpful and the room a fair size for Paris. We were on a high floor and from what I could tell, there wouldn't be much difference between rooms in terms of outlook onto a not to busy but noisy road. The en-suite, particularly the shower was pretty tiny -... More

Wasn't sure what to expect as we'd never been to Paris before. Found our way quite easily from the train station on foot. Arrived a little early to check-in so the lady on reception offered to take our luggage for us. I'm very glad she did! When we got into our room later that day it was lovely. Guest robes... More

I like it when a hotel gives me what I asked for..unfortunately doesn't always happen! It did in this case! Had to wait a bit for room , arrived about 1:30pm..but it was worth it. Great location..right on the edge of the 6th but in 7th. Shopping street Rue Sevres( 2 groceries open every day late, bakeries, choc shop, etc.)... More

We came here from another hotel that we had booked and were disappointed upon arrival so we quickly searched Booking.com and found this hotel. The Vaneau was great, the staff were happy, friendly and eager to please. The room was spacious and clean. While the décor was not what I would call Boutique, it was not a disappointment overall. Climate... More

there's always pastries in the lobby, very helpful personal staff. Higher recommended. In one of the best luxury parts of the town. Walking distance to Bon Marche, the high class shopping centre for luxury goods. But the WIFI is not very good even though it is for free.

We found this hotel to be located in one of the better areas of Paris. Nice quiet area where you feel safe in a smart side street. Nice staff, very clean, good decor, room service etc. Room was a good size with comfy beds. Only negative was the shower compartment was very small, verging on claustraphobic with tatty tiles which... More

I have stayed here twice in one year. Once with my husband and once with my mom. It's a great hotel for someone who doesn't plan to spend too much time in the hotel. There are no amenities in terms of pool, gym, etc but the rooms are really clean and good size for the cost. The hotel also has... More

My Fiancè and i stayed at this hotel for 3 nights this month. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The rooms are cleaned to a five star standard everyday. The bed was the most comfortable bed i have slept in a hotel ever. The location of the hotel is perfect for... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
