I chose the Lord Byron as I wanted to be close to the Champs Elysee & Avenue George V and got a very good rate. Upon arrival they informed me that the shower in the room I had booked was not working properly and very kindly upgraded me to a bigger room which was completely unexpected. The room was clean... We had a really good stay at this place. The hotel is just 3 mins walk from Champs-Elysee. There were lots of eating places - both cheap and expensive. The rooms was of the old Empire-style decor which i really liked - maybe "tired" as other guests had commented but hey, it's meant to be old. Marianne - the receptionist... More

Excellent location of the hotel just off the champs Elysee. We stayed for 5 days and staff are really friendly and helpful. We had room 1 (no noise problem even though just above reception) and room 5 (towards the back of the hotel - quiet). We did not have breakfast included (12euros), we had breakfast at local boulangerie round the... More

Stayed here one night on business. Main views was that this was a very tired hotel in a great location. So fine for a stopover but if you want a little more then suggest elsewhere. Very small room. It did at least have aircon. Breakfast was a bit nondescript.

We booked a family room for two nights, which was spacious and overall very comfortable, if a bit old-fashioned (but to be fair, we expected that). Like so many Paris hotels, it's on the expensive side for what it is, but it was calm and very well-placed (close to Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe). Comfortable main bed - the... More

The main and the single positive point of this hotel is the location...., but it is a dirty place with the most disgusting ever eaten breakfast! Every morning we had to ask for bread or other things because they did not have enough for all guests. In the last morning we waited 20 minutes for the bread and when the... More

Booked for 2 days to take part in Paris marathon. On the first day we were put in Room 19, a small room with no air conditioning and 4 large heaters, two of which couldn't be turned off. It was like a sauna in the room. When I mentioned it to the staff member, he said all he could do... More

Dear LeightonR, Thank you for sharing your hotel experience with us and once again I truly regret your disappointment you had during your stay. Please note that all the rooms are equipped with air conditioning but we have to wait for mid June to turn them on due to our contract with the air conditioning company. Concerning the smell of... This hotel is quite good for Paris but not really that great. Some reviewers have said 'must stay' and I would suggest that is over the top. It is fine, friendly staff, great location, but the hotel itself is only average. We had the suite and the beds were not very comfortable. Carpets and furniture is tired. It could be... More

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
