First time in Paris and it was on business but I would hesitate to stay there on vacation. This hotel is was across the Seine River from the business district, Eiffel Tower, Metro rail station and very close to the fashion district, Champs élysées and many other sites. I selected the bed and breakfast option. I had one of the... More

Since I was using my AMEX points I tried this hotel. What a wonderful experience. Their proximity to the Metro station and RER made our daily running a pleasure. Will put this under our special hotels list.

I've heard Melia hotels have a good reputation. This hotel was no exception and when we arrived the room, the service and the location were exactly what I was hoping for. I booked this hotel specifically because I wanted a queen size bed and not 2 twins or a double. They gave me exactly that. Every day as we walk... More

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in early November. First the location was good and bad. The good was that it is in a very nice area, quiet, safe, one block from the Seine River, 5 minute walk to the Alma Marceau metro station, and from the end of the block you get a spectacular view of the... The best thing about the Melia Royal Alma would be the location and the staff. It's located very close the the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triumph. The hotel staff was always very accommodation and incredibly friendly! The rooms, while "updated" are still very out of date. The breakfast is grossly over priced (28 euro per day) and there... very bad sound isolation, everything came through from neighbour room. Internet was super slow and unreliable, like I would jump 15 years back in time. Service ok, location rather good but if you stay out long and want to sleep long, go somewhere else

It was years ago I stayed at this hotel and the convenient location, being so close to the sena river, small and cozy you almost feel at home, but yet the atmosphere remains you that you are in France. I highly recommend it... Years have gone by, never forgotten!

The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent close to walk to the Eiffel tower every night. The breakfast buffet was worth the money for Paris. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

This hotel is located in a great spot: 15 minute walk to Eiffel Tower, 10 minutes to Champs-Elysees, 5 minutes to all of the uber-fashion designer stores along Avenue Montaigne. 5 minutes to Rue Marbeuf area which has many good and reasonably priced cafes and restaurants as well as great shopping. Nearest Metro station is Alma Marceau - a two... More

After 3 tries of different rooms we finally settled in a room which was inferior to what we had paid. The previous rooms had broken AC, broken safe and the room we finally settled in had more a fan blowing than AC. It was 25+ in Paris. The second one had great AC but broken safe. The Mattresses were so... More

Neighborhood Profile
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th-century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
