Close to metro and Gare du Nord, many brasseries, bakeries, super-market and pharmacies around, pretty safe to walk around at night. Didn't try the breakfast. Attic a little warm but has 2 airconditioners, so no problem. Very helpful staff at the front desk, to give information about the city, what to do, how to go, etc. We stayed on the... More

This was a very nice hotel in a convenient location (connects 3 metro lines). The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It's rated 3 stars but I would give it 4/5 stars. The hotel staff were friendlu and spoke excellent English and gave very good restaurant recommendations nearby. I would stay here if I'm in Paris again

great location (gare du nord within walking distance but the hotel is beyond the less pleasant area that are nearer the station, and many visitors attraction a quick hop on the metro), quiet hotel but lively surroundings comfortable rooms extremely helpful staff wifi functioned very well, breakfast food good choice and quality including 'proper tea'

HDC is located close to local amenities, some great restaurants and very convenient for a short stay in Paris. Hotel staff are fantastic; friendly welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Highly Recommended

We stayed at the Hotel des Comedies April 2014. I thought the hotel was fairly average, the rooms looked very old and tired. The receptionist was very helpful and polite. However, the hotel is located in a great area, walking distance to most of central Paris.

Excellent and professional service, very clean and comfortable rooms, good bathroom. Great value for Paris, breakfasts are good. Easy walking distance to all attractions, shops, gare du Nord, museums. Safe area, good restaurants nearby - ask hotel for suggestions. Stayed 3 days and we will definitely stay there next time we go to Paris.
