Location was good, easy access to Metro and could walk to several restaurants, there was also a small store where you could buy soft drinks, water, snacks, etc. not more than a couple of blocks from the hotel. The rooms were small, but very clean. We were there in late October so the temperature outdoors was mild so we did... More

Been there for just one night, both the room and the bathroom were new, but somewhat small. Need to cross a small terrace to get to it, that may be a problem if it's raining. Windows facing the same terrace, so you must be careful leaving them open. Breakfast not worth the 12€ price tag. Friendly staff, very polite Definitely a... More

The rooms are okay; with the back ones, very quiet, but dark if you take the bottom floors - the front rooms appear nice, but are very very noisy as they face the street and to have comfort in the room you need to leave the window open. Also the front rooms are extremely small. We had issues with booking... More

Paris is an expensive location for hotels. This hotel offers a reasonable rate, the staff is very attentive, the rooms ar small but comfortable, just to sleep. The location is great, just in the middle of the latin quarter, walking distance to the metro and the RER B train to Charles de Gaulle.

I will not complain about: the service, it was friendly enough, the small room, the minuscule bathroom (definitely not for people over 60 kilo), the breakfast (adequate), but rest I did not! My room with view on the rue Mouffetard (lots of obnoxious students and tourists obviously in the Quartier Latin) had NO noise insulation AT ALL. I did NOT... More

We stayed four nights and would not stay here again. It's way too expensive for the size of room and no air conditioning! Windows will barely open. On a small noisy, busy street loaded with bars and college kids even on week nights. No free Wifi. No room safes. Breakfast was not worth the extra money. Only one desk clerk... More

Fantastic location in the Latin Quarter, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Very close to the Metro station Monge. Room was small, but clean. No air conditioning, but there was a fan. Needed to keep the window open (looked out over interior courtyard) to keep room cool, and there was chatter from guests sitting out in the courtyard... Breakfast was adequate,... More

My boyfriend and I came to Paris to celebrate my 40th Birthday! Staying here was the best present ever! Yes the hotel and rooms are small. But it is HUGE when it comes to being clean and nice! Our room looked to have been remodeled and the bathroom was spotless! I can't say enough about the room service and staff.... More

First the good things - well located in a small but lively area in a part of the Latin Quarter that I'd not previously known. Many restaurants within 5 min stroll or less. Few minutes walk to Metro station Monge. Room size was adequate. No air conditioning in rooms. A portable table fan was provided. We were there early Sept... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
