As an avid reader of reviews before I visit somewhere so I know (sort of) what to expect I was half and half on what to expect when I visited this hotel in Paris. My friend and I are students who booked this hotel purely down to location and the brilliant pricing, we booked through Expedia and arranged a transfer... More

This place was not easy to get to from the airport because we hopped on the airport train to transfer at .. chatalet station ...walk 8 minutes to transfer to the 7 train, pink line, and then thank god once you get off at Place Monge, the hotel is only 1 block AWAY!!! Took us about 1.5 hrs to get... More

Great location (very touristy, but everything you need is right there), very lively neighborhood, staff were extremely friendly, 2mins walk to metro Place Monge (line 7), stayed in room 34 (very quiet), very clean and everything seems to be newly renovated. Although rooms are quite small but that is to be expected from Paris. Bathrooms are tiny (maybe 2m squared).... More

I have reviewed this hotel before and loved it then. My husband and I first went there 16 years ago on our honeymoon, then at 10 years married and then last year. We have always loved it. It's not swanky, the rooms aren't big, but the location is fantastic, the staff lovely, (most speaking English) and the breakfast beautiful. It's... More

Rooms are small but manageable and clean. Perfect for people on the go sightseeing. The hotel is located on a quaint street filled with cafes, restaurants, shops, and bars in the Latin Quarter. You are a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame. The metro is 1 block from hotel which makes it super convenient to get everywhere.

My wife and I stayed here for six nights. We had no problems whatsoever and enjoyed our stay. I had every breakfast-(very good!), the rooms were always cleaned, the staff assisted with all questions. The final morning (very early) we got up to catch our shuttle to the airport. We were somewhat in a fog but THANKS to an alert... More

The room was so small the bathroom door could not fully open because it hit the foot of the bed. We only had room to walk around the bed and the bathroom was just a tiny. I felt like a crab walking sideways in the bathroom because there was hardly any room to move around. There was mold in the... More

Location was good, easy access to Metro and could walk to several restaurants, there was also a small store where you could buy soft drinks, water, snacks, etc. not more than a couple of blocks from the hotel. The rooms were small, but very clean. We were there in late October so the temperature outdoors was mild so we did... More

Been there for just one night, both the room and the bathroom were new, but somewhat small. Need to cross a small terrace to get to it, that may be a problem if it's raining. Windows facing the same terrace, so you must be careful leaving them open. Breakfast not worth the 12€ price tag. Friendly staff, very polite Definitely a... More

The rooms are okay; with the back ones, very quiet, but dark if you take the bottom floors - the front rooms appear nice, but are very very noisy as they face the street and to have comfort in the room you need to leave the window open. Also the front rooms are extremely small. We had issues with booking... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
