The first thing one notices about this hotel on this website is that the management responds to every single review. This, I discovered, is the secret to this great hotel: superlative service. From the moment you walk in with the smiling manager at the check-in desk, to the smiling and helpful women in the small dining area for breakfast...everyone is... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in my first trip to Paris with my partner and was very impressed with the experience. The rooms are a high standard, good size and very clean. The location cannot be beaten; a walk to a lot of great tourist destinations and tonnes of restaurants and bars! For the places you need the metro... More

Forget the big chains and big prices. This hotel is one block from the Metro, but you may not need to leave this terrific Latin Quarter neighborhood! A block from the botanic gardens, a block from the roman ruins and a block from the best crepes, shopping and pastry shops in Paris. Walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame, and Blvd.... More

We stayed here for 7 nights, 8 days on our first trip to Paris! Overall, had a very good experience. The location was prime - very close to two underground stops and walking distance to Notre Dame and most of the main attractions in Paris. The hotel is right off a main street so its quite but very close to... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. We are very happy you enjoyed staying with us and that you liked the latin quarter. We regret you found our rooms a bit small, we wish we coulf push the walls but being in a 19th century building makes things difficult. We hope to welcome you again very soon. Kind... More

We stayed in two rooms for five nights in the spring and were moderately pleased with the experience. Good price, clean rooms, charming updates to the lobby and other areas, a block from the metro, close to restaurants, and only minutes by foot from the Seine River, Notre Dame and other wonderful sites. Regarding the service, in some instances it... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you for taking some time to write us a review. We are pleased to read you liked the hotel's location and cleanliness. However we regret our hotel didn't give you entire satisfaction. As you said, our hotel dates back to 1890 and this explains why our rooms aren't the same size as American standards for... More

Recently spent 4 days, 3 nights at the Hotel St. Christophe with my family. There were 8 of us, so we had four rooms. Hotel was kind enough to have 2 sets of rooms next to one another, 1 set on the 1st floor and the other on the 4th. Fair warning that the rooms are all small, but nicely... More

My Fiance and I were recently in Paris and had troubles getting in to our Airbnb due to our flight getting delayed (we missed our original check in date). As we were trying to get a hold of our Airbnb host and freaking out because we didn't have an international plan to call our Airbnb host, the front desk receptionist/In... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your review. We always do our best to make guests as welcome as possible. We were very happy with our first trip to Paris and decision to stay at Hotel Saint Christophe. First off, I am sure we made the right decision in staying in this Place Monge neighborhood after seeing the crowds closer to the Seine attractions. Only a few blocks further away made all the difference, as the neighborhood had more of... More

We wanted an inexpensive hotel close to metro line 10 in order to get to Longchamp for the horseracing. We spent two nights in the hotel. Although small it had everything that we needed. This Hotel is near everything. It's a 2 minute walk from the subway station, 15 minute walk from Notre Dame and there are excellent restaurants everywhere. Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
