We stayed here four nights after spending several days in another part of Paris. The hotel is clean and close to three Metro stops. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. We did not eat at the hotel, choosing to get breakfast each morning at nearby boulangeries. There is an elevator (accessible after going up two to three steps), but... More

The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms although small have all one needs for a short stay. There is no AC (which maybe a problem in August) but there is a fan and the windows open wide. Also there is no in-room safe and the Receptionist did not mention if there was the use of the hotel safe... More

At the beginning of June we stayed at St Christophe Paris for the second time (we stayed there also in 2013). The hotel is very nice, and old building but with modern conveniences. The rooms are small, but it's Paris ! The location is great, restaurants, cafes and bars in the neighborhood. Also a metro station two blocks away. I... More

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your review. We are happy you enjoyed your second stay with us. We also regret not having air conditionning, but being in a protected area of Paris regarding architecture it is very complicated for us to have it installed... We hope to find a solution one day... Clean and tidy rooms, reasonable size. Nice welcome, helpful staff. Great location. We were able to walk to the main attractions. Close to the river, close to the parks, close to the Notre Damme. Brilliant bakary outside.

We spent ten days at this lovely hotel, a block from the Jardin des Plantes. The staff was helpful, the rooms clean, the location was great. Even though we were in the city, I was able to go jogging at the nearby Jardin des Plantes, which was great. The staff were friendly and respectful. The breakfast was good. At first... More

Spent 5 nights at the beginning of our trip to France and one night at the end of our trip at this lovely hotel. The hotel is in an old building that has been nicely renovated. There is a lift (aka elevator) that will handle one person and one large bag. The stair case is spiral. A very quaint and... More

Spent 2 nights here. Great small hotel - friendly helpful staff, v. clean, and perfect location. Only 10 mins walk from Notre Dame and a couple of mins walk from 2 metro stations which are on different lines, making it easy to access the city. There's a great little square close by, Place de la Contrescarpe, with bars and restaurants... More

Good value for money, nice staff, clean rooms and close to many attractions and the Latin Quarter. Definitely a good choice if you prefer a small hotell than a bigger one. Not very modern, but very charming.

We found this hotel through Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. We loved everything about this hotel. This hotel is what you would imagine a hotel in Paris to be. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect.

First trip to Paris and spent three nights at this relatively small hotel. You will read in many reviews that the room is small, and it is, but really who goes to Paris to spend time in the hotel room anyway? The room was clean, quiet enough (a bar outside was a bit loud one night but not horrible) and... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
