We found this hotel through Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. We loved everything about this hotel. This hotel is what you would imagine a hotel in Paris to be. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect.

First trip to Paris and spent three nights at this relatively small hotel. You will read in many reviews that the room is small, and it is, but really who goes to Paris to spend time in the hotel room anyway? The room was clean, quiet enough (a bar outside was a bit loud one night but not horrible) and... More

Our three night stay was excellent - this is a good 3 star hotel, quiet location in a very pleasant part of the city, near good shops, a market and restaurants and adjacent to the metro and bus route. The breakfast is ok but not exciting but the room, bathroom, bed and reception service were absolutely fine. If you have... More

My regular hosts at Paris had put me up in anovel hotel a little bit further away from the Mabillon Institute where I visit. It turned out to be an excellent choice! Two metro stations within comfortable walking distance and one twith a direct line to Mabillon. The room was large -by Paris standards - and comfortable, with a bath... More

This was a nice, comfortable hotel in a very good location. It was a short walk to Notre Dame cathedral and we managed to walk to every destination we wanted to visit from the hotel including the train station for a trip to Normandy and the Eiffel Tower. The room was small, but comfortable and the free wifi was very... More

Nice no frills hotel near the Place Monge metro stop. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. No safe in the rooms, not that we had any issues, It just would have been nice for peace of mind. We didn't eat the breakfast. Very nice, local type neighborhood to stay in. There's a very nice bakery right a cross the... More

A delightful, well located, small hotel with genuine French character. Pleasant and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, understandably not particularly large and no tea/coffee making facillities. There is a minibar with bottled water, soft drinks and beers. We would definitely recommend and would definitely return ourselves. Our son and fiancée stayed here 3 years ago, enjoyed their stay and... More

This hotel is 5 minutes from the metro and ideally located to get to the main attractions. There are really loads of restaurants and bars very near but the hotel itself is in a quiet street. Stayed 2 nights over the weekend. Great location, a short walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. Right near a subway station, with cheap, easy access to everywhere in the city...including the Gare du Nord station where we arrived & departed from on the Eurostar. It's not right in the centre of the tourist area so the restaurants around there aren't so... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
